As I said. I voted Conservative this time. And the last 3 times. I never trusted or liked Trudeau. That one, especially after the refugee bullshit, WE charity shit had to go then. Once he froze bank accounts I said absolutely gone.

You just tried to strawman. Smarten up.
No strawman here. And I honestly don't believe you voted Conservative now and in the past. No one who has voted Conservative regularly would be so dismissive of what the Liberals have pulled.

Smarten up. Your not fooling anyone.

They didn't "pull" anything. Stop being such a baby about an election loss.

i never claimed it was

i suspect the doge savings were expected to offset the tax cuts in big beautiful bill
now the savings will need to come from entitlement spending, social security, Medicaid, Medicare , welfare
But not by say raising taxes? Cutting the Pentagon budget, which has never passed an audit?

really
a decade of failure is not quite enough for butler 1000
that is pretty much the definition of a life long liberal voter

btw i have voted liberal in the past

this is not the liberal party of jean and paul
It's funny he says he has voted Conservative for the past decade just to throw a twist into his comments to Conservatives!
It's not working.

I have voted Liberal in the past as well, but well before the corrupt and dysfunctional provincial and federal Liberals of recent years.

You said in your response you didn't know the word initiate had two meanings. Your words not mine.

Now if you want to apologize for not being clear while trying to be clever, I would accept your apology and write this off to your continued efforts at learning the English language.

I would have no problem with that.
You sound delirious after facepalming one too many times.
Yes, the word initiate does not have two meanings in the context of the sentence I used.
There is no reason to assume the other meaning of the word initiate which has absolutely nothing to do with what is being discussed.
So far you have:
- failed to articulate how the word initiate can be interpreted to have 2 meanings in my post.
- what the impact of the carbon tax is
- failed at grade school math.
What do you have to say for yourself?

no he can not wait for a year
we need a deal very soon

WRF is wrong with you
lose the quisling insults you ignorant fool

your acting a fool does not make you any more patriotic than the next Canadian
so get rid of that nonsense

you have not been paying attention
Canada has been chipping away with supply management for decades. it is not a national security issue and it is an anti free trade protectionism practise
quotas and price fixing is not free trade
we need to ensure we maintain a softwood lumber, aluminum , steel and auto sector

wrong
Trudeau did a dirty deal with the rat bastard Chinese communists that blew up in his face

our farmers can compete and win
you say they can not

any system that requires valuable food to be poured down the drain while Canadians are getting hammered by food inflation is a broken system

Is it just plain ol' panicking? Or an agenda by you to see Canadian sovereignty weakened? Either way not a good look.

They pulled everything including an inauguration ffs.

I'm going to assume that you being a lifelong Liberal, were horrified throughout most of the Trudeau years and you've traded your integrity for hypocrisy as an act of desperation and relief when he was replaced.
That's how bad the last decade (that you supported) has been.
They could have put in Kermit the Frog as the new leader and you would be arguing the same and calling him the "little green man" instead of the "little grey man".

It's the same party who is now working on a way to go back on promises they made when they miraculously suspended their ideology to win an election.

yes a tax increase may be necessary & no doubt there was room for saving a lot of $ at the pentagon, had doge been permitted to continue

but do not delude yourself savings will need to come from entitlement spending, social security, Medicaid, Medicare , welfare

what the world is wrong with you?

do you honestly think you are protecting Canadian sovereignty by ignoring tariffs and pretending they will magically go away ?
the very best way to protect Canadian sovereignty is ensuring economic strength by maintaining our export markets
and once again you just ignore the fact that 70% of our exports are to the us

what is not a good look is you pretending you have a monopoly on Canada patriotism after supporting the most divisive Prime Minister in our history for a whole lost decade
you should be begging for forgiveness

Lol. MAGA get those "entitlements" more. Look at state transfers. Once they get their own benefits cut it will be fun to watch.

i do not know what you are laughing at
a US government insolvency crisis is going to hurt everyone
and do not think for a second you / Canadians will be immune

it will cause a world wide depression, not a recession, but a depression

And yet they did win, and PP couldn't even hold his own seat. Can you explain why he couldn't even do that?

You really are down a partisan rabbit hole. Don't hurt your fingertips pounding on that keyboard in frustration.

Dude. They RAISED the budget to one Trillion for the military. There is no talk of cuts, and DOGE wasn't allowed near the Pentagon. And this bill only has tax cuts for wealthier people. Even their no tax on tips and overtime are a smoke show. They still tax on CC and electronic tips, just not on cash. And the no overtime tax income limit is low so no tradesman can qualify.

So let's take it from the poorest. The sickest, the oldest. You are telling on yourself.

Yes, and it's Republican policy that you have continued to support that is causing this.

Says the guy who tries to convince everyone he votes Conservative but doesn't.
What are you trying to pull exactly?

In other words...you tried to be clever and since then have realized there are indeed two meanings.

Now you're doing the classic "let me explain what I really meant and I fell on my face" tap dance after I made you look foolish.

Don't you feel silly?

You are the one trying to play clever here, but you fail to realize that you look foolish confusing a verb for a noun.
So far you have:
- failed to articulate how the word initiate can be interpreted to have 2 meanings in my post.
- what the impact of the carbon tax is
- failed at grade school math.
- failed at grade school English.
I think it is time for you to take ESL courses you were recommending me in addition to a grade school math class.

He held his seat for 2 decades...is someone supposed to hold their seat forever? Is that your benchmark? Maybe the Liberals flooded that riding with candidates? Who knows?
The better question is how Carney came into power without ever winning a seat?

I get it...you were fooled by Liberal propaganda and are embarrassed to admit it.

"I didn't know there were two meanings..."
No, I didn't say that.
I said this:
I don't think the word "initiated" has 2 meanings unless you were looking for an opportunity to engage in mental gymnastics.
So that is a lie.
And of course true to your form you were just engaging in mental gymnastics after failing grade school math, English and failing to articulate your point on the carbon tax.
The only thing you have succeeded in is giving yourself a concussion from the repeated failed mental gymnastics.
Too funny.
