This is wild cognitive dissonance.

Epstein was convicted in 2008, after being accused in 2006 and Trump did good by tossing him out of Mar a Lago only as he was being convicted. And again, Epstein was not a member of mar a lago. He and Trump were friends, so he was allowed to hang out there, free of charge, on trumps say-so.

And, where do you think Epstein was doing his recruiting? Mar a Lago. In 2000.

So, trump is good man for only allowing sexual predators to use his property for 8 years, but Carny is bad man for standing beside someone at a festival once.
This thread is about Carney and Canada.
Let US citizens decide what they want, and who should be their leader. Trump being a convict doesn't justify Carney.

commie playbook: there is always a strongman
OR, and hear me out, Gerard Butts is a good advisor, and people seek him out because he's the best at what he does.

Kind of like Harper and the Government of England both sought Carney because he is good at what he does.
[/QUOTE]

Re Gerald Butts

1. what part of financial disaster due to Butts green energy policies in both Ontario and Canada did you not understand ?
2. Gerald had to resign in disgrace as he was pushing a corrupt perversion of our justice system re SNC

Re Carney:
He was a disaster in his role as Bank of England

He is an ecowarrior and will just rebrand/ Justin Trudeaus failed policies

please explain what you think Carney will do differently from Justin (Failure) Trudeau ?

He's all but out the door and you're still indulging in terminal TDS.....pathetic AND grossly misguided . He did a fairly good job over the past 10 years.
Too funny
He did such a good job, his party told him he had to resign or they will ger decimated

He handled Trump's 1st term with a trade deal and got us through covid, whilst preserving our inclusive, diverse, progressive values. The economy fared as well or better than the vast majority of western democratic nations. He had flaws and it was time to go however., but your oft expressed rabid hatred is way over the top.
he made a god damn mess
everything he touched turned to shit
record numbers of visits to the food bank
housing out of reach for todays youth
the average family is $200 away from insolvency
east west division
record federal debt
more scandals than one can count
and he was completely corrupt

Take yer meds, dude!
good advise for you to follow

this is completely accurate
the worst Prime Minister in Canadas history.
A dim witted ,fake, divisive and corrupt fool
I am still unsure what Canada did to deserve the nightmare that has been Justin Trudeau

what a god damn buffoon
he never did and will never understand the responsibilities of the office of Prime Minister of Canada

The photos were taken at an event hosted at Cornbury Park, the estate of Carney's sister-in-law Lady Tania Rotherwick, shortly after Carney assumed his role as Bank of England governor.

Then-governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney, second from left, attends the Wildness Festival with his wife Diana Fox, far right, and others including Ghislaine Maxwell, second from right, at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire, England, on Aug. 10, 2013.PHOTO BY ADRIAN SHERRATT /Shutterstock

British media described the festival as "Poshstock," catering to wealthy attendees with luxury amenities.
The Carney campaign has accused Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre and adviser Jenni Byrne of releasing the photos.

While the photos are prior to Maxwell's arrest and conviction, they were taken several years after her associate Jeffrey Epstein served 13 months in prison for sexual offences in 2008-09.
Maxwell, who was later convicted of recruiting young girls for Epstein and his associates, was reportedly a longtime friend of Rotherwick and a frequent guest at the festival.

PS. Why the fuck did Mark Carney and his wife mingled with a Ghislaine Maxwell his an h association with jeffery Espstein a known sex offender ?
When you are invited to a party do you know everyone who might be attending? Do you review their criminal records and associations before you attend. Utterly ridiculous.

Would you like me to raise my fist and sing The Internationale?

The state should exist to protect the proletariat from Capital. Corpos should only exist at the pleasure of the state, and as long as they are doing a good that the state can't deliver.

We need to start enforcing anti trust laws again. And if you are a believer in the free market, you should support this, as killing 1 corp leaves room for new ones to thrive

The "Great" society that righties are harkening back to was defined by a 90% marginal tax rate, high union membership, and strong corporate regulations. I mean, unless you really just want to be able to call people the n-word again.

Unions used to build affordable housing for christ sake.

The older I get, the wealthier I get, the more I left I get. We've been doing austerity politics for 3 generations now, and things are only getting worse.
Yeah that's what I thought comrade.

Understand: this is not an insult.

Standing by a system that has created all of the problems Larue is lamenting and refusing to move an inch east or west makes you a Zax.

Cheering it on makes you a class traitor. Billionaires are actively choosing to let people die. Do you think they'll give a shit when you're number's up?

Strange how PP refuses to get a security clearance and even refused briefings without clearance from CSIS
No, it's not strange at all. If Poilievre gets security clearance, it effectively muzzles him which is what the Liberals want. Trudeau could've released the names of people involved in foreign interference, if he wanted to. As Prime Minister, he has the power to do that. But that would be admitting there was interference, which would contradict what they've been saying.

Sometimes there's more to the story than meets the eye.

It is an argument that has been repeatedly endorsed by former NDP and Official Opposition leader Tom Mulcair. “I think Poilievre was wise not to tie his hands,” he said last year. “I would never want to be told I can’t ask all the questions I want of the government.” Mulcair added that the leaders of the NDP and Bloc Québécois don’t “have as important of a role.”

Will Carney start answering question from other media outlets, besides the US talk show circuit and the CBC?

SCATHING: UK publication warns Canada about Carney
'A technocrat with a knack for self-promotion'

As Mark Carney prepares to become prime minister without a seat in the House of Commons, the first since John Turner in the 80s, a scathing article in the UK's The Telegraph warns Canada about the former governor of the Bank of England.

Published on Monday, the article called Canada is about to discover Mark Carney is the man with the reverse Midas touch, warns the former Governor of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England may bring more economic hardship than prosperity — potentially continuing the policies of Justin Trudeau, which saw inflationary carbon taxes, a cost of living crisis and soaring debt and deficits.

Trudeau and Carney share several policy alignments, particularly in their progressive and globalist approaches to governance.

Both emphasize aggressive climate action, with Trudeau implementing carbon taxes and renewable energy investments, while Carney, as a former central banker and UN Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance, championed net zero policies and green finance frameworks.

Economically, they favour interventionist measures — Trudeau through expansive fiscal spending and Carney via monetary policies like low interest rates and quantitative easing during his Bank of England tenure.

The Telegraph article highlights Carney’s track record in the UK — persistent inflation during his time at the Bank of England and sluggish growth in regions under his financial influence.

With Canada now struggling under U.S. tariffs and domestic economic problems, the article questions whether Carney’s polished resume masks a pattern of shoddy results.

Dubbed a technocrat with a knack for self-promotion, Carney’s leadership is framed as a risky bet for Canada, which is at an economic crossroads.

As Carney steps into the spotlight, The Telegraph's critique suggests Canadians may soon test whether his reputation holds — or tarnishes — under the pressure of managing Canada's myriad problems.

Outside of the article, former UK Premier Minister Liz Truss also warned Canada about Carney.

"I strongly recommend not backing Mark Carney for his policies on net zero," she told The Counter Signal.

"It was disastrous for Britain. It would be disastrous for Canada."

Truss criticized Carney's tenure as Governor of the Bank of England, saying "too much money was printed, which did damage to England’s economy."

Truss also condemned Carney’s endorsement of net zero policies, calling them a "disaster for Britain" and warning they would similarly harm Canada.

You mean they failed to convince you it was actually being tried over the past 4 years?
Nobody needs to convince me of anything. Words have meanings.

"Democratic socialism involves the majority of the population controlling the economy through some democratic system, with the idea that the means of production are owned and managed by the working class"

Under Trudeau, the wealth of the capital class exploded. The bottom 40% of people control 1.1% of Canada's wealth. Half the economy is owned by 7% of people. Hardly socialism.

He broke strikes, he bailed out corporations without nationalizing the result. Trudeau is a neolib at best.

Trudeau started the video saying “there are foreign countries trying to interfere in our elections.” All party leaders have a security clearance. As a government employee you need a reliability security clearance. Very concerning what PP is trying to hide by refusing the security clearance.

It's not what Poilievre is hiding, it's that he would be muzzled if he gets clearance and views the documents.

Tom Mulcair explains it here and makes a completely valid point. If you don't know, Mulcair isn't exactly a right winger.

You just described Marxism with a hint of Communism and have been conditioned into thinking it's "Democratic Socialism".

Don't demonize wealthy people. They are not criminals. They are not the problem. Leftist propaganda has you blaming the wrong people.
