Trump's win of the presidential election is Trudeau fans' blessing in disguise.
Imagine being so daft as to think that Pierre Poilievre has any connection to Trump or the MAGA movement...

Carney is not a battle tested politician, lets see how he handles it when he steps into heavy traffic.

I want to see how he deals with the carbon tax hike on April 1...Will he scrap it?..If he does he's probably going to win.

Does he have the cojones?

The ol'printing money we don't have and sending money we do have to foreign countries trick!
Yup! Fortunately I don't have kids and don't intend to, so they won't be stuck paying for it all.

Heart disease runs in my family, so I'll probably be checking out in my 70s anyways....hopefully CPP doesn't run dry and I'm not eating Kraft Dinner 3 times a day before then. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Good question. There's a reason why Western Canada (whose resource exports contribute half of Canada's National Income) doesn't trust the Eastern Canadian establishment.

Perfection is the enemy of progress. We as a country need to become more self-reliant; and in order to do that, we need an East-West pipeline. The environmentalists within the Liberal party need to shut up and take a back seat for a little while.

If Harper could govern the country effectively while keeping the Christian fundamentalists within the Conservative party in check (abortion and same-sex marriage is still legal in this country), Carney can do the same thing and keep the Environmental zealots within the Liberal party in check.

I agree with everything that you said here...Problem is it's the fringe radical element of the Liberal party that has charted it's course for a while now.

I think it's funny people are comparing Poilievre to Trump but can't explain why?

Can you name 3 policies that Poilievre has proposed that would be similar to Trump's?

Of course, I'll except an answer that "you are just parroting leftwing media talking points" if you're stuck.
There are none.
I am not comparing Pierre to Trump at all.
There is no danger of Canada backsliding into the state of America's democracy under Pierre.
As I said I will vote ideologically to do my part in voting against right wing politics (whatever that means in Canada) as the world is trending in a dangerous far right direction.

Prior to Trump taking office and engaging in a trade war with Canada, a Conservative majority Government was anticipated.

I think Trump's BS is starting to tarnish the Federal Conservative brand in Canada; Pierre Poilievre is losing momentum, and it's shifting back to the Federal Liberals. He knows it too.

I would not be surprised if PM Carney goes to the Governor General and calls an election in the Spring; the Liberals might just eke out a fourth term after all. If they do, and it's a majority, PP will be dropped as Party Leader soon after.
Yup! And I’m still not over the Conservatives implementing bill C-36. Carney might get my vote just for spite! lol 😂

Remember the Liberals had 9 years to act on it and didn't...So they must be okay with it.

If he brings the Liberal Party more towards he centre that's a good thing. They have been operating like NDP light for several years now. He better call an election for the spring we cannot have his unelected ass operating as our Prime Minister.

No political party in power will touch it, as it’s not advantageous for them. Is Trudeau a wuss for not repealing it? Of course he is. However, the majority of the blame goes to the Harper Conservatives for enacting it in the first place.
