Tarantino knew that none of the other young actresses could have done the Sadie Atkins scene in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He's probably one of the Academy voters pushing for her to win Best Actress. What other actress of her generation can do heavy drama and slap-stick at the same time. She's so hot that she's now featured in GQ. I hope she doesn't win the Oscar, her popularity will not dim.

Watched Conan's monologue, sleep was challenging so I watched some of the show and it put me out.
Anora deserved it's acclaim, Sean Baker did the impossible - a heavy drama made by The Three Stooges. Mikey deserves it, no actor can make pain so watchable. Tarantino knew what he was doing. Demi Moore was not to be rewarded for a Cronenberg type film, she would have been a serious contender if Margaret Qualley was also nominated.
Mikey will probably wake up with a massive hangover, they probably pumped her full of alcohol at Elton John's after party.

Demi Moore was the big favorite. Demi's fellow actors gave her the SAG award and she won a Golden Globe. I'm guessing the wider body were more impressed with Mikey's performance and less sentimental than the Hollywood actors.
Now I want to see it. The story seems very marketable to a mainstream audience.
Was Conan not funny last night? I missed the monologue. His humor seems pedestrian. The comedy at the Oscars has gotten so ridiculously safe. Fuck, also bring back Will Smith and some strategically placed bats and clubs.
Mikey won the BAFTA, she had a legit shot at an Oscar. The GG are meaningless but the SAG was significant, unfortunately Demi's legacy wasn't enough to win the Oscar. There's too much crap in her past, sentimentality didn't play a part. However if Margaret Qualley got nominated she would have taken Best Actress. Anora also scored higher on the IMDB fan poll than The Substance.
MQ looked like the ultimate sex kitten for much of The Substance...loved it.

Haven't watched The Substance yet, Demi Moore acting tended to annoy me. She also didn't lift her co-stars to noms. So now there are four majors actresses born between 1994 to 2000, Margaret Qualley, Anya Taylor Joy, MM and Lilly Rose Depp
I don't think Kevin Hart should've been cancelled in 2019.
He's not my favorite. He comes across as loud and forcing at times to me. However, he would bring energy to a long show with lulls.
They should have cut to Lithgow when Brody cut off the music
