In answer to the question posted in this thread: I doubt the present government will resolve the Tariff issue, the renegotiation of CUSMA, etc. before the next election. Their job at this point is to maintain the status quo and avoid any unnecessary confrontations with Trump until the next election. In the mean time, they need to maintain a united Team Canada approach with the provinces and leave the next government with a coherent set of alliances to work with when they take over.
Where the next government takes it from there is up to them but in the meantime the Libs need to keep the country working together for whomever takes over.
In any case, I think the new government will have its hands full in dealing with Trump regardless of which party wins. If it turns out to be PP then fine- I wish him well.
