The PRC panicked after the Wuhan lab leak which is just a few km down the street from the Wuhan wet market and recognized the potential for disaster if the iatrogenic Covid-19 were to infect live animals at the Wuhan wet markets and possibly other markets and the opportunity for mutations . What happened to the research in the Wuhan lab where they were deliberately infecting human cells with Coronavirus despite being advised of the potentially lethal consequences ?

Yet for some reason, the outbreak was geographically centered around the market, the equivalent of a leak at a Pearson Airport lab only affecting people in the area of the Scarborough bluffs. It is theoretically possible that one employee at the lab was infected by a leak, travelled across the city without affecting anyone before infecting people at the market but to me that seems less likely than the outbreak actually being at the market.
A few months before the Wuhan market outbreak, , personal at the Wuhan lab were reported to be sick and some deceased with a mysterious ailment which was initially covered up. The wet market is public and was much harder to cover up the latter mysterious outbreaks despite attempts by the PRC, even the China funded WHO was reluctant to declare that a pandemic was underway. The research involving the deliberate infection of human cells with Coronavirus at the Wuhan was destroyed by the PRC sometime between the end of 2019 to early 2020.
The mysterious contagious ailment that infected personnel at the Wuhan lab in late 2019 was the same contagious ailment that latter infected the Wuhan wet market workers in early 2020 and was latter named the iatrogenic Covid-19 virus .
The Wuhan lab genetically sequenced Covid-19 before the pandemic and shared this information with the global scientific community in the spring of 2020 once Covid-19 transmission was out of control.
The strong probability of the iatrogenic Covid-19 virus infecting animals at the Wuhan market, animals that are reservoirs for Coronavirus in the wild such at bats, raccoon dogs and pangolins was not lost on the PRC, which might explain why evidence at the Wuhan wet market was also obliterated by the PRC.
As you can see above, they have an explanation for that.
You have to remember that the way this works is "Can I tell a story that plausibly supports my view?" and that's all they need.
So long as it could have happened that way, then it means that it did happen that way.
Since there will almost certainly never be something that is 100% determinative, they can keep that up forever.
Since this is of grave emotional importance to them, they will do just that.
One can use “modus ponens and modus tollens “ to argue and feel smug about the origins of Covid-19 aka “ the China virus” but the egregious damage that occurred is among the worst atrocities inflicted on mankind by mankind which was totally unnecessary and avoidable.
On the contrary, you are being conveniently obtuse and infinitely illogical in not accepting the very high probability of a lab leak.

The PRC had experience with SARS and they knew it was risky to deliberately infect human cells with Coranaviruses yet they still did it. They would also be aware of the risk if a lab leak occurred and even the potential of a pandemic.
The rest is just history and a horrible and macabre one at that !

I accept the possibility of a lab leak.
I just ask for evidence and not "just so" stories.
