Oh, of course.If it's a process, it may be the first time he's actually followed a process, but the question still remains, how long until he sends in the troops. It's a rhetorical question, so I'm expecting an actual answer with a time frame. It's more of a statement that if push comes to shove that is what he'll do. He won't hesitate.
The new guy in charge of OMB has said the military should be available to deploy against US citizens and Trump repeatedly asked for that in the first term.
At some point, it will happen, even if there aren't protests. Trump is going to want to show off that power at some point regardless.
If I had to bet, I would think a protest in DC was the most likely place it would happen first, with second place being at the border.
