And the 19 controllers who were reportedly supposed to be on shift? Were they some of the 3,000 controllers Trump reportedly fired? (BTW, that social media post that claimed it was not true. No controllers have been fired by Trump, so it's not his fault either)

Besides, the Controller did everything according to the book. He MIGHT have done better to give the helicopter a vector when he saw they were so close but the helicopter was at 200' at the time of the last communication, but climbed to 400' in the following SECONDS. The helicopter was limited to a HARD ceiling of 200' so the helicopter climbed into airspace he was not cleared into. The Controller has to rely on the professionalism of pilots, especially Military pilots in DC, so it's not like he thought the military chopper that was identified as being a VIP transport would pull a stupid move like climbing above and out of their specific flight path.
I have watched several tv programs about the accident, and surprisingly, none of them mention the non-conforming with the hard ceiling of 200' as being essential.

By the way, I was sitting in a waiting room of a doctor in Buffalo, where the TV played Trump's news conference about the midair collision on NBC.

What a disgusting and undignified spectacle for a president

Ory, do you agree with Trump's common sense assumption stated by Trump himself?

PS, please note I didn't name-call Don so you cannot try and skirt the question. This hurt me, it still hurts me not to call the man names but the goal is not to allow you to avoid the question. ;)

You can't take any oracle's claims about name calling seriously as its entirely a partisan attack, where all oracles on this board refuse to call out right wingers and MAGA for name calling.

Destroying the government will bite MAGA on the arse.

trump Devotee Syndrome (tDS) symptoms include:
1)inability to discern reality from fantasy
2)inability to even consider that their cult leader, trump, is ever wrong or ever makes a mistake.

tDS is a serious condition that will bring about the fall of American democracy.
the fall of American democracy happened 4 years ago...it's on the up and up...

There’s a good chance that this wasn’t Trump’s fault. Close calls happen often, the airline industry is a mess (see Boeing), and all it takes is one human error.

All that said… the President’s response to this is so harmful. Instead of comforting Americans and trying to inspire confidence in the ongoing investigations, all he and his followers can do is try to blame the Dems and DEI. The constant antagonism doesn’t cut it when you’re in charge— especially during times of crisis. He’s the goddamn leader of the free world. LEAD.

Right wingers spout about DEI like they have fucking Tourette’s or something. It even sounds like a vocal tick if you say it out loud “Dee-ee-aye, Dee-ee-aye! Doi!”

The aviation industry is predominantly male and white, the majority of pilots certainly are. A second 9/11 could happen and Trump would turn around and blame the woke US military intelligence system. This is ridiculous.

You fixed nothing. I don't give a shit about Trudeau or the liberals.

trump is a lying, narcissistic sleazebag who does not give a rat's ass about anybody, least of all his cultists, the people with the actual illness of tDS, trump Devotee Syndrome.

1)You people believe that he is perfect. There is no mistake that you will not excuse him for and go absolutely nuts when anyone has the unmitigated gall to criticize him for anything. Saying that a single hair is out of place deserves 20 lashes. Can you not see that what you have is not simply admiration, it is slavish devotion/adoration.

That is why I say that tDSers are blinded to reality.

2)You people have lost the ability to think for yourselves. You follow the MAGA party line, whatever it is. If trump says we should throw out the immigrants you agree. If he'd said we need to keep the immigrants, you'd agree. Whatever he says, is automatically a core belief of yours. That makes you sheeple, not individuals who possess a freedom of thought.

You people are the dictionary definition of cultists. Go read about Jamestown, unless you think that they were sane. Hopefully you will recognize some of yourself in them.
