It's never too late to do the right thing. Deport as many illegal aliens as quickly as can be arranged. Americans deserve a border.

A border that is not respected is not a border.
I am sometimes going to Buffalo for medical reasons. It seems to me that the border is respected by both Canada and USA.

People who cross the border legally are seldom privy to all of the instances of unlawful crossings. Hint - they aren't usually at the lawful ports of entry that you're using to go to Buffalo.

It is a bit inconvenient for me to take a canoe across the river.

By that reasoning a country with crime would be a country with no laws. lol.
The fact that they are illegal means there is recognition of a border, and its existence.
No, by that reasoning a country with crime and which didn't enforce its laws would be a country with no laws.

Dutch is correct.

Original statement oversimplifies the relationship between laws, enforcement, and outcomes. Just because laws exist does not mean they are effectively enforced, nor does it guarantee adherence to them. A country with crime can have laws, but if those laws are not enforced, it creates a situation akin to having no laws in practice.

The US has always been a country that enforces its immigration laws.
Except for the millions of times that it hasn't. Perhaps as many as 30 million times?

Besides, there are quite a few prominent Democrats who disagree with you, because they have vowed not to co-operate with, or even to oppose, ICE deportation actions.
