David Lynch passed today at the age of 78.

He was the director of many great films , including Eraserhead, Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, and the TV series Twin Peaks.
Lynch directed all eighteen episodes of the 2017 Twin Peaks revival, but only six episodes of the original 1990 - 91 series.

My original TERB handle, and the nickname I use on many boards, and professionally for typography, is a Twin Peaks reference, (bobistheowl).

He also directed Wild at Heart starring Nicholas Cage. He also directed the video to the film's theme song, Wicked Game by Chris Isaak.
Favorite is Blue Velvet though, what a cracker of a film. I haven't seen Mulholland Drive, its on my bucket list. I hear its fantastic.

I guess I'm the only one who hated Blue Velvet. I saw it at the cinema in Tottenham Court Road, London in 1987. The only memory I have was going to the gents for a piss after the show and another guy wearing a kind of Spanish wide brimmed hat was occupying the stall next to me. To my surprise it was Elvis Costello.

I didn't think much of Blue Velvet either, it's an exploitive film. Isabella Rosselini went through hell, by extension so did Shelley Duval in The Shining. Taking them into account, Blake Lively is insane, her lawsuit will get tossed.

David Cronenberg is a better director than Lynch.

Wow! Elvis Costello (one of my musical heroes!) at the next urinal? Hoping he sang “My Aim is True”.

I got the joke, but "My Aim is True" isn't the name of an Elvis Costello song. It's the title of his first album, and a lyric from the song Alison, (Stiff BUY 14), released two months before the album.
