It's 2025. You are REALLY going to argue attitudes on religion haven't significantly changed in the last 30 years? Really? That's what you're going to do?
Don't know attitude on religion has changed to the degree C.S. Lewis's legacy
of rendering Christian shithood more palpable has become irrelevant.
In my college years Lewis's writing was evangelicals' favored tool to
proselytize skeptics. And as recent as 2009 C.S. Lewis the evangelist
was celebrated in the 50th anniversay of
Christianity Today. Attitudes
on the Christian religion have never been static. But I wonder if Lewis
would roll over in grave were his thoughts no longer relevant to evangelists today.
C.S. Lewis was a man of firm evangelistic convictions. For Lewis the salvation of human souls was “the real business of life.”
