Some oil, Ontario does import oil and Natural Gas from AB, we are a significant customer of theirs on many enery and agricultural products. Same with other western provinces
I don't have the data but I believe the volume of oil imported from AB
is insignificant. It should be easy to meet Ontario's oil demand with imports
from Gulf States and the U.S. entirely. But without natural gas supply from
western Canada some of us will be frozen in winter.
If Canada is to be governed by Liberals sharing Steven Gulbeault's
commitment to zero emission into the future annexation of the oil-rich
province by Trump could be one way for AB's oil industry to save
itself from climate change.
