I guess he didn't do well there either.

Mancini leaves role as Saudi Arabia manager

Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has reached a joint agreement with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation to end his contract as national team manager.

Mancini, 59, endured a difficult time as Saudi Arabia manager, a role he took on in August 2023 having left as Italy head coach weeks earlier.

On the eve of Saudi Arabia's opening match at the Asian Cup in January, he said that three players had been dropped because they allegedly wanted to pick and choose which games to play.

Former captain Salman Al-Faraj, Sultan Al-Ghannam and goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi all strongly denied the claim.

During the Asian Cup Mancini walked down the tunnel before South Korea's final penalty in a shootout that eliminated Saudi Arabia, saying: "I apologise for leaving early, I thought it had finished."

Mancini's regular complaint has been that home-grown forwards don't play enough in the Saudi Pro League, that is populated by big signings from Europe's top clubs.

Saudi Arabia have struggled in their 2026 World Cup qualifiers under Mancini, with surprise draws against low-ranked sides Bahrain and Indonesia.

Donnarumma Suffers Brutal Facial Injury After Getting Kicked in the Face

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered a vicious facial wound after getting kicked directly in the face during PSG’s clash against Monaco.

During the first half of action at Stade Louis II, the Italian keeper made a great save against Monaco’s Wilfried Singo. However, the thrilling play was not without its costs, as Singo’s cleat landed – spikes first – directly into Donnarumma’s face.

Unsurprisingly, Donnarumma could not continue and was replaced. Incredibly, Singo was not penalized for the play. Donnarumma waited in the tunnel until halftime to challenge the referee on why he didn’t issue a penalty on the play.

Donnarumma required ten stitches to the gash on his right cheek, according to the Daily Mail.

Aston Villa has added to Guardiola's woes, as Manchester City are beaten yet again.
No doubt that it is going to be a very steep and slippery slope for them to even get a sniff at the title.

It wont matter, City can rebuild the club in one year by spending $ a billion on the transfer market. That's the advantage of being owned by a dictatorship.

No painful rebuild for them like Juve has gone through.

I don't know whats going on with city, I think they just made a deal to let another team this year. (like Liverpool) They did the same with Juventus, people got sick of Juve wining 9 years in a row, no they're letting inter, Napoli or Atalanta win.

I think that Man City have too many players that are aging. Someone like De Bruyne was pivotal in their success these past few years. Their defending is atrocious. Most teams have sussed them out, love to sit back and allow them the possession that is normally sideways and backwards, and on occasions when they have an opportunity to score, all they do is scuff their chances. Meanwhile when the opposition have the break, they take full advantage as the Man City defence is in full disarray.

Juve's walking wounded are returning to action. Bremer is out for the season but Juve's defense isn't missing him.

City problem is they're desperately missing Rodri, without him City's midfield is slow and predictable. Juve's midfield hardly broke a sweat.

Golazo transitioning to becoming the Inside The NBA of football. In order to be successful someone had to sit in Sir Charles chair. Fiorentina's Micah Richards has assumed that role.

Forza Atalanta!

Fonseca is out of Milan, after getting red carded and Milan not winning against Roma today.

Sergio Conceicao set to be new Milan coach after Paulo Fonseca sacked

AC Milan have sacked head coach Paulo Fonseca and are set to appoint Sergio Conceicao to replace him, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Fonseca, 51, left Lille to replace Stefano Pioli as Milan head coach in June, signing a three-year deal.

However, the Portuguese coach’s six months in charge have seen the Italian side be unable to maintain a consistent run of form and he was dismissed after Milan’s 1-1 draw with Roma on Sunday.

The draw was Milan’s sixth in the league this season, leaving them eighth in the Serie A table, eight points off a Champions League place. USMNT forward Christian Pulisic is the team’s top scorer in Serie A with five goals but has been sidelined by calf and ankle issues.

Milan are 12th in the Champions League league phase table and currently headed for a place in the knockout play-offs.

The club are owned by US investment group RedBird Capital, who bought Milan from Elliott Advisors in August 2022 in a deal that valued the club at €1.2 billion. RedBird also has a stake in Fenway Sports Group, the owners of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool.

Who's worse Milan or United? The difference, Milan's Futures are loaded. I'm expecting Segio to call them up. United don't have a Liberali in their system.

I think this a more money tactic. I remember when he played for Roma.

Mohamed Salah on Liverpool future: 'My last year at the club'

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah reaffirmed Friday that he is preparing for this to be his last season at the Merseyside club as negotiations have stalled over a new contract.

Salah's existing deal is set to expire at the end of the season, with teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also out of contract in the summer.

The 32-year-old Egypt international has so far enjoyed a stunning individual campaign, registering 17 goals and 13 assists in the league to help Liverpool build up a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Negotiations over a new deal have been ongoing with Salah's camp for months; however, he confirmed Friday that he and the club are still a long way from coming to an agreement.

Asked whether he believes this will be his last season at Liverpool, Salah told Sky Sports: "So far? Yes. Into the last six months, there is no progress there, we're far away from any progress, so we just need to wait and see."

Speaking about his ambitions at the start of the season, Salah said: "The first thing that was on the list was to win the Premier League with Liverpool.

"In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always say [I want to win the] Champions League. But this is the first time I'm saying I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool."

When asked why that is, he added: "I have no idea. It's probably because we didn't celebrate the one we won in the way we wanted and also, coming back here too, it's my last year in the club so you want to do something special for the city. That was the thing in my head.

"We waited for that title for 30 years or so. So, to win it and it was the pandemic at that time, we didn't really have time to celebrate it in the right way. It's not a nice thing to do, so hopefully we can do it this year."

Milan turned on in the second period, Inter couldn't keep up. I wonder if it was fixed so Milan could win.
