No the President's power is way overrated. Trump was overridden on everything he tried. His wall got denied, his travel ban also. The only things he really did was tax cuts which cost America 8.2 trillion dollars and lost jobs and stole billions from border security to build a few miles of useless wall. Oh and he let hundreds of taliban terrorists out of jail for no reason othe than horrible negotiating. He also renamed nafta which he is now claiming he will cheat out of. Apparently the law of the US, the constitution and all their agreements with other countries mean absolutely nothing under trump
No, what is going to happen is border security is going to get some upgrades including some hardware contracts from US suppliers. Helicopters, drones and motion sensors. We will also see announcements of joint task forces which will show increased patrols and a few easy busts.
Because every single USA supplier in the USA and every importer of Canadian goods, will want an exemption, because their interest is "vital", and money will change hands to Congressmen. And you know how razor thin his majority is there.
