Dude, its not about the numbers, its about the intent. Sudan is a civil war. Gaza is a genocide. GEN O CIDE and children and babies are being intentionally murdered by the IDF. Israel is an INVADER and OCCUPIER. Perhaps you can look up those terms and understand it.
Gee, Notty. If Sudan wasn't a genocide, how did all those women and kids die there?

Women and kids get killed in the fighting in Gaza and somehow that's "genocide". Same shit - or worse - happens in Sudan and it's not genocide.

And by the way, how'd you feel about your buddy Assad's torture dungeons?

A genocide isn't just killing people. For example if madrills kill mandrills its a civil war of monkeys. If Chimpanzees arrive and kill mandrills to either wipe them out or move them away from their territory then its a species of simian conducting a genocide on another tribe of simians. The war in Sudan is just a war for control and money, AFIK they are not trying to push any ethnicity out. I could be wrong, but essentially the govt gave Russia the rights to a naval base and the USA triggered the war to prevent Russia from having a naval base and to coup the govt in power. How do I feel about the torture chambers? Firstly do we forget that the guys the USA put in power burned a pow to death on video in addition to behading raping and murdering thousands? The USA has torture chamber all over the world in CIA facilties. This was all exposed, there were no laws passed to end it. Torture is now called ENHANCED INTEROGATION TECHNIQUES. All legalized by the USA.

Yeah USA is very bad but the funny thing is that most Canadians probably are not likely to be tortured ONLY thanks to the USA. Otherwise some Russians or Chinese would be fucking our women long ago, and they would be dumb to miss that chance. Canada cannot defend itself. USA protects Canada like no country protects another in the whole fucking world.

So maybe Canadians should sit this one the fuck out

if some meteorite extinguished united states, Canadians would be fucked in the ass before they could say "mommy, save me".
Alaska is former Russian territory. Russia would immediately annex simply to bring historical justice to the long suffering land of Alaska.
and Canada would be next.

So let me see if I understand.

It only becomes genocide if an outside ethnic group does it????.... That's a convenient definition, Notty.

So Serbs didn't genocide Croats in the Balkan Wars in the 1990's?? Because the Serbs were there already?

I'm betting that the Sudanese "civil war" is inter ethnic and 1 ethnic sub division is genociding the other.

But you can't call it "genocide" because you cheer on non whites 100% of the time because you're "anti colonial".

But you'll always say it's the USA's fault and find some way of twisting the facts into a pretzel to try and make your implausible argument.

No. This isn't about you deflecting onto your bullshit hate of the USA.

How do you actually feel about supporting Assad - the guy who tortured 100,000 people to death? Give me a straight answer that doesn't involve your fantasy crap about the USA.

Oh look, Notty!!! Let's read the wiki article on the Sudanese Civil War together....

The Sudan Liberation Movement (or Army; SLM, SLA, or SLM/A) is a rebel group active in Darfur, primarily composed of members of non-Arab ethnic groups[54] and established in response to their marginalization by the Bashir regime.[55][56] Since 2006, the movement has split into several factions due to disagreements over the Darfur Peace Agreement, with some factions joining the government in Khartoum.[57][58][59] By 2023 the three most prominent factions were the SLM-Minnawi under Minni Minnawi, the SLM-al-Nur under Abdul Wahid al-Nur, and the SLM-Tambour under Mustafa Tambour. The SLM-Minnawi and SLM-Tambour signed the 2020 Juba Peace Agreement, ceasing hostilities and receiving political appointments, but the SLM-al-Nur refused to sign and kept fighting.[60][61]

The SPLM-N was founded by units of the predominantly South Sudanese Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army stationed in areas that remained in Sudan following the South Sudanese vote for independence in 2011. These forces then led a rebellion in the southern states of South Kordofan and Blue Nile a few months later.[62] In 2017, the SPLM-N split between a faction led by Abdelaziz al-Hilu and one led by Malik Agar, with al-Hilu demanding secularism as a condition for peace while Agar did not agree with this.[63] During the Sudanese Revolution, al-Hilu's faction declared an indefinite unilateral ceasefire.[64] In 2020, a peace agreement was signed between the Sudanese government and Agar's faction,[59] with Agar later joining the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Khartoum. Al-Hilu held out until he agreed to sign a separate peace agreement with the Sudanese government a few months later.[65] Further steps to consolidate the agreement stalled following the 2021 coup, and the al-Hilu faction instead signed an agreement with the SLM-al-Nur and the Sudanese Communist Party, agreeing to co-operate to draft a 'revolutionary charter' and remove the military from power.[66]

In Darfur, fighting and bloodshed were particularly fierce around the city of Geneina, where hundreds died and extensive destruction occurred.[142] RSF forces engaged in frequent acts of violence against the Masalit population of Geneina, leading to accusations of ethnic cleansing.[143] On 4 August the RSF claimed that it had taken full control over all of Central Darfur.[144]

A United Nations investigation discovered numerous mass graves in Darfur that contained Masalit civilians.[145] The RSF and Arab militias were additionally accused of having killed lawyers, human rights monitors, doctors and non-Arab tribal leaders.[146] The governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abakar, was abducted and killed by armed men in June, hours after accusing the RSF of genocide and calling for international intervention in a TV interview.[147] The SAF, for their part, conducted indiscriminate airstrikes against Darfur that killed many civilians, especially in Nyala.[148]

Tribal and rebel groups in Darfur began to declare allegiance to one or the other of the warring parties. A faction of the Darfur-based Sudan Liberation Movement led by Mustafa Tambour (SLM-T) joined the conflict in support of the SAF.[3] In contrast the controversial Tamazuj rebel group formally declared its alliance with the RSF, joined by the leaders of seven Arab tribes, including that of Hemedti's.[28][14

Notty, that was NOT the Lancet.

That was a random letter sent in to the Lancet, probably from some paid disinformant stooge.

Just stop the nonsense, please.
Incorrect. This was not a random letter. It was from a number of academics, including 2 Canadian academics. The letter was reviewed and accepted for publication by the Lancet and contains a series of verifiable sources.

We are glad the people of Syria are free of Assad. They will have to free themselves of POS Nation now. But it’s a huge inspiration to Palestinians. That in itself is a threat to POS Nation. Hence the huge violations of Syrian sovereignty. They want to teach them a lesson…..don’t want any uppity Syrians

Ok so there is some ethnic cleansing. But the usa started the whole thing by dividing sudan and what you get are pockets of minorities that are at risk. Kinds like Ukraine was trying to do to russian ukrainians

So it's "ethnic cleansing", but not "genocide" because only Israelis can do "genocide". And brown and black people can't "genocide" each other, just "ethnically cleanse" each other.

And it's all America's fault. Because everything is always America's fault.

Sure, Notty. Whatever. 😹

The Palis are not friends of Iran, in fact they lean more towards ISIS and actually have sent fighters to fight Iran in Syria. Certainly the Russians are not allies of the Palis. The Palis have few true allies, perhaps the Yemenis. They Russians are pro peace, but not really williing to do much to help the Palis, like most people. The muslim world objects to the killing of muslims and destruction of holy sites but there is no strategic alliance in support of the Palis. Hezbollah is willing to fight for them to a limited extent, and the houthis. Thats it.

That's completely factually wrong.

What you do?.... You get that from Blumenthal or Galloway? Or you make that nonsense up all by yourself?

It becomes genocide when one ethnic group attacks another with the goal of displacing them. So even within civil wars there is genocide and ethnic cleansing
