I agree with you that this solar and wind energy is stupid expensive and a long way to being cost effective, never mind actually green! And it is a quantum leap in materials science away from becoming cost effective or green.

The "green energy insanity" hasn't actually hit our electrical bills yet. Yes, it is stupid and costs way too much but it is all being absorbed and hidden in gov't subsidies and grants.

Here in Ontario we pay under ten cents a kw/h. The Ontario gov't previous FIT programme that paid private solar and wind farms to provide electricity was paying EIGHTY THREE CENTS PER KW/H!!! So if you have a $100 monthly electric bill, it would be $800 a month!

As for "de-regulation", I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. The de-regulation of building energy plants? de-regulating the property rights of landowners for transmission corridors? De-regulating private (publicly traded) companies pricing?

I know "deregulation" is a catchy phrase..like "green energy", but most of the problem with the regulatory process is simply time delays. Which is not as big of a factor in the price of delivered electricity as the actual cost of construction and the natural gas etc.
Biden and his team spent four years tying up the the oil and gas industry with regulations
day one Biden cancelled a pipeline
Biden claimed they granted lots of drilling permits , but quietly denied feeder pipeline permits to the same drilling sites
nobody was going to invest in drilling those sites if you cant get the product to market.

re electrical power plants
how many Fossil fuel generating plants were shut down over the past decade or relegated to back up for wind / solar for political reasons ?
trump will remove the subsidies and tax breaks for the wind / solar making them uneconomical
he could even apply those same subsidies and tax breaks to the shuttered gas fired plants if it drives the incentives he wants

the greens will go berserk , but that matters not to him

I am pretty sure the USMCA has a five year review process built in. That is coming up during his tenure.
But not on day 1 which is his promise which he will 100% do, much like how he said he would end the war on the first day because that is completely possible [he sarcastically said]

Maybe Trump Norris actually does think he is Chuck Norris.

Maybe that's why he doesn't want immigrants

Aata majhi satakli!

Well to be fair, Trump lost his mind ages ago.

Translation for you non-Spanish speaking Trump lovers and haters

"In our conversation with President Trump, I explained to him the comprehensive strategy that Mexico has followed to address the migration phenomenon, respecting human rights. Thanks to this, migrants and caravans are assisted before they arrive at the border. We reiterate that Mexico's position is not to close borders but to build bridges between governments and between peoples"

"Then we will stop sending Wood for housing development." has to be a joke

In 2023, the United States Department of Commerce (Commerce) increased the duty rate on Canadian softwood lumber exports to 14.54%:

This^^^

Softwood lumber has been a contentious issue with the Americans for years and came to a boiling point under Trumps previous administration.

Actually wind and solar the cheapest forms now.
The Canadian oil&gas industry gets billions in subsidies and its still more expensive.

Our Government should bring up with Donny Boy the fact that Canadians are being killed by the US guns that are being smuggled into Canada:

This should be a bargaining chip against the USA, and not just the Americans interest!!
I'm pretty sure the Americans and Donald in particular, could care less about this issue. The demand is by gangs on the Canadian side and they just know where they can easily get their hands on guns and it's also a profitable endeavour.

USMCA renewal is in July 2026, a year and a half away. Trump said that he said he would do a 25% tariff on Canada via executive order from "day one"
So we agree that Trump honours his contracts and word as much as Vladimir Vladimirich! And has no regard for the credibility of treaties each country enters into.

Best scene in the cop universe series is when they are trying to make a terrorist talk. They have IIRC his wife and mother in another room kept quit and they make noises as if they are beating them [faked] and a lady cop making the screaming noises except she starts moaning like it's turning her on till they correct her.

So Trump is demanding that Mexico and Canada need to secure his borders. Does this make sense to anyone that isn't a complete fucking idiot ? Is Canada and Mexico supoose to set up borders on US soil to stop drugs and people ? Is taxing Americans 25% on all goods from Mexico and Canada going to help with inflation and bring down the costs of goods to Americans? This guy is beyond fucking retarded

I'm glad that they are going to bring the issue of not only drugs, but also illegal arms, crossing the border from The USA into Canada:

On "Day One", as he's ranting about??
he will view the tariffs as a tool used to get the borders secure , a national security crisis
he has an option to open the USCMA in 2026 for renegotiated., which he will view as a separate matter

Your boy Justin has 2 months to clean up some of the mess he has made of our borders

Do you think he is up to it.?
