A legit boxer does not necessarily mean a championship caliber boxer. This is only his 8th fight.

You are probably correct, though. He should move up in class, but incrementally.
He boxed better than I expected him to. Usually he’s more loose and imprecise. He’s putting in the work, gotta give him credit where it’s due. Not for beating Mike but just for everything else

Took me a while to get into MMA because I didn’t understand it. How come you never liked Mike? Which boxers do you like?
I've always considered him a thug.

In any sport, I can only cheer for people that I like/respect. Talk about eating babies, biting Holyfield's ear, abusing his wife etc. eliminated the possibility of that ever happening.

So I agree with the scoring and the decision but really this is a win for Tyson because he lasted 8 rounds against a much younger fight at the age he is. This is a loss for Paul because he couldn’t even knock out a man almost 60 years old.

Stamina won the fight. That is an age issue. Not a fighter issue, if that makes sense.
I am not sure that it is a loss for Paul. I have watched many fights and Paul can certainly hit harder than he did in this fight. In my opinion, Jake carried Mike for most of the fight. I believe that he did not want to hurt Mike, as they actually have a lot of love and respect for each other. It was obvious from about the second round that Mike was cooked, and Jake just cruised to an easy victory without hurting an old over the hill boxer.

It’s not a loss but not a win either tbh. There’s lots of young boxers who could’ve done the same

I can see that. I just can call it a win for Paul. The guy can say he beat Tyson but we all know he didn’t really beat the real Tyson. If that makes sense.

Hagler/Hamsho 1....Hagler was the best fighter that I ever saw...Hamsho was one of the toughest.
Marvelous is probably my ATF. I was watching round 1 vs the Hitman a few weeks ago.

Marvelous slowed down after fighting Mugabi. I've seen videos of Mugabi sparring and he's huge (not in height but body density). Not sure how he even boiled down to 160 lbs!

if Jake Paul fights a 20 year-old Tyson, I think Jake Paul would be swinging from the chandeliers of the arena after a Tyson uppercut. I think everyone knows this.

No question. In his prime you can argue that Tyson was the most feared boxer in history. He was like a pit bull in the ring.

I watched that fight last night it was horrible. Tyson looked like he had rubber legs. I actually think Paul purposefully took it easy on him.

It’s hard to argue, especially the intimidation factor and winning a fight before it even started. Pretty similar to Sonny Liston. People always talk about Mike Tyson and his intimidation factor being diminished after Evander Holyfield started pushing him back, exposing him as a non-bully. I personally think things fell apart for him the day Don King persuaded him to fire his entire training staff, most notably, Kevin Rooney. The peekaboo style quick movement was never the same way again and never developed any further once Kevin Rooney was gone.

Will Jake Paul challenge Lennox Lewis next? Unlike Tyson, LL understood the value of money, he has homes in London and Toronto.

Is it wrong of me to want Jake Paul turned into road kill. Riddick Bowe never wanted to fight him a second time.
