Pretty much, they barely squeaked by a mook like Trump in 2020 and instead of questioning what when wrong they were shaking the champagne like that guy in the meme in last place and treating it like a decisive victory.
This should be an even bigger wake up call, but I am not optimistic.

If you get working stiffs all over America worrying about making ends meet, it's an easy pitch for a "business genius" like Trump's PR calls him to throw out some bullshit answers about "beating inflation" and to scoop votes.
