Guys living in shelters with no status here are hired by construction companies on a daily basis. I witnessed this first hand when the same bunch of Mexicans were picked up every day at the Scott Mission.

I know several people who work in the TV and radio industry within the private sector and they have always told me that the CBC over hires for everything. ie for a radio show in the private sector they will have 2-3 people working on it, whereas CBC will have 10. Lot's of fat to trim.
The CBC is over staffed and over-valued for what they produce.
Add to that an obvious left leaning bias and it's time for CBC to have an enema.
Of course, you know several people who work in the tv and radio industry in the private sector who always tell you things about the CBC.
Who I ask, would have suspected otherwise?

Why don't you call one of the private radio stations or send the program director an email asking for an estimate of how many people work on one of their shows. Tell them you're a student doing research.
Then do the same thing for the CBC.
Then come back here and confess what you have discovered.

Yes, just another typical response from Anbarandy. It's common knowledge the CBC is overstaffed when it comes to the number of employees it takes to produce shows compared to the private sector. Now they are cutting some staff, but handing out huge bonuses at the same time. Which is truly amazing.
"We’ve known for months now that close to 1,200 of CBC’s top management employees were going to be getting bonuses, the only question was how much. Now that the numbers are out, it is truly obscene given the state of the state broadcaster.

It's like that in all government sectors. The inefficiency and overspending is appalling.
The only private sector that resembles this was big tech in Cali when times were good and investor money was endless.
It's why Elon was able to cut over 70% of Twitter's workforce overnight without it having any negative impact on site performance.
But the private sector has to self-correct to survive unlike the public sector. Paying staff members $120k/year to answer a couple emails a day along with free yoga classes and free daily meals was never going to last.

The public sector has no comprehension of how the rest of the non-public sector world works. They are in a bubble where they believe money grows on trees and they are entitled to more and more of it.

Honestly, I would advise every young person to go out to the US. America is a country where if you are smart and work hard an opportunity will come.
The Government in Canada is out of it's mind and these public union workers are parasites.
It's just like California. They vote for progressive left policies, then have to pay higher taxes, but nothing gets done.
