How have they been effective?
What has changed between 2006 and 2024?
Do Palestinians have a better life today or worse?
Abbas and the PA are totally not effective, they're disliked by Palestinians which is why Abbas won't hold an election. Abbas was a failure internationally and domestically, all he did was rule over the occupied people without working to make their situation better.
Palestinians have tried every form of resistance over the decades.
What has changed since 2006?
Hamas was democratically elected, the US and Israel worked to try to implement a coup to keep them out of power. Then Israel realized that by funding and supporting Hamas they could keep Palestinians divided, which was to their advantage.
There have been at least five of these types of 'wars' or attack on Gaza since 2006. Some were more brutal than others and this is the worst by far.
In 2014 Palestinians in Gaza marched to the Gaza prison walls every Friday for a year, where IOF soldiers used snipers to shoot them as they protested. Google 'The Great March of Return'. In 2021, the last Hamas attack occurred after a series of settler terrorist attacks followed by settlers storming the Al Aqsa, which is exactly what happened in Oct last year.

Nothing has been effective for Palestinians, so they resort to violence to resist the illegal occupation of Palestine.
Now Israel has responded with genocide and a total war with the US on Arabs.

The question is what happens after this ends.
Do you think Israel will come out ahead?

Yes, innocent civilians are a loss for humanity.

What you and Frank's kind miss is they claim Palestinians are so oppressed while also admitting that under Israeli occupation, Palestinians have an impressive literacy rate including an impressive number of Bachelor and post-grad degrees including from Israeli universities.

And yes, one of BDS' founders who demands people boycott anyone who studies or worked at Israeli universities has multiple degrees from an Israeli university.
I am now a Frank's kind ??? lovely....can you point to at least to one of my posts where I agree with this Jew hater ?

Hamas was elected 18 years ago.
Why haven't there been elections since then?
You also didn't answer my question on how Hamas has been effective or what they have done to make Palestinian life better in Gaza.

There were no elections since because the polls have consistently said that Hamas would win and Abbas is in charge of setting a date.

You probably forgot, but in 2021, which was a repeat of the same situation with a more moderate slaughter by Israel, there were global protests.
In 2021 BLM allied itself withe PLM and BDS and protests were massive, enough so that the attacks were stopped.

What do you think Hamas or the PA could do that would make any difference while living under an apartheid occupation?

If polls say that they'd win does that mean there should be no elections?
The polls in Canada say Pierre would win today. So should we just make him PM without elections? :)
I asked what has Hamas done to further the Palestinian agenda and make life better.
They are just as bad as Israel.

So Gazans do like their terrorist government but they shouldn’t be responsible for its actions. Got it.

There were no elections because only Abbas could call one and he refused because he knew he would lose.
What did Hamas do? They were the government, they ran Gaza and they resisted the occupation.
How can you make life better when you live under blockade and apartheid occupation?
The only ones that controlled quality of life are the Israelis who are occupying them.

What do you think Hamas, the PA or Hezbollah could do that would have ended the occupation?

You're also missing the most biggest changes, even if they will take years to take place.
The UN and ICJ ruled the occupation is illegal and Israel must end it, that's a massive shift that hadn't been possible in 76 years of occupation.
Israel is winning battles but globally they are now a pariah state, zionists will forever be listed as genocidal movements like the nazis.

What do you think Israel will gain out of this?

There is nothing unique about what he is saying. Every caged or oppressed people have made these same statements since the beginning of time. We also have the same murderous monsters trying to cage or oppress people that have been around since the beginning of time

There is nothing unique about this dance and it will always end in victory of those fighting for the universal drive for freedom

The question was, How have things changed for Gazans and is their life better now than 2006? So after all of those occurrences is their life better?

So, is their life better now than 2006?
