But Gaza wasn’t always occupied by Israel. Not for several years since they withdrew from Gaza in 2005 until last October.

They could have reunited with Egypt then, as they were under Egypt before being taken by Israel. Or become a part of Jordan that is the first Palestinian state formed from the British Palestinian mandate. Or invest the money they got from the west to become another Singapore, instead of into building tunnels and into the pockets of their hamas leaders.

But it’s their business.
Here, it’s Canada. TBH we have enough of our own problems to worry about. We better focus on preserving peace and prosperity we have been blessed with.

Nobody had a problem with Gaza being Egyptian clay and the West Bank being part of Jordan till they fucked around and found out. Only then did they figure out it is Palestinian clay.

Can't say I really care who wins or loses too much, it isn't a strategic concern like Taiwan and Ukraine. I don't even care about racist Jew hating bigots doing thier thing.

Gaza is recognized as occupied by Israel, they just run it like a giant open air prison or concentration camp.
The blockade on Gaza has been a 17 year long war crime to defend apartheid and a 75 year illegal occupation.
Now Israel is bombing 4 countries to defend their occupation and ongoing colonization of Palestine.

Do you suggest that Gaza was occupied by Israel even when Israel withdrew from it in 2005?

Regarding the “open air prison” analogy. Not sure the rationale behind this metaphor. Note that Israel is not the only country Gaza borders with. Gaza also shares border with Egypt.

After they withdrew, genocidal Israel still suppled electricity and water to Gaza. Not the noble Egypt. Egyptian brothers could have provided all electricity and water to their brothers in Gaza. But they didn’t.

According to the article you referenced, border crossing restrictions were imposed by both Israel and Egypt. Not just Israel.

The article fails to mention how all the money the West has given to Gaza ended up in the deep pockets of Hamas leaders enjoying high life and safety in Qatar, and spent on building terror tunnels.

It looks like Egypt and Israel both had good reasons for imposing cross border travel restrictions.

You mentioned the UN. The UN has become a useless and corrupt organization influenced and run by mostly third world and dictatorships.

Under the Geneva Conventions Israel is duty bound to take care of the wellness of those they occupy.
Not Egypt, Israel.

All Muslim countries are aware of the fact that there are still 5 million stateless Palestinian refugees living in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon awaiting Israel to abide by UNSC resolutions demanding their Right of Return be honoured. No Muslim country will let Israel do a Nabka 2.0 and try to ethnically cleanse more Palestinians because of this.

After Israel withdrawal from Gaza in 2005, Hamas came to power in Gaza, and after that both Egypt and Israel imposed stricter travel and import restrictions. Both Egypt and Israel deemed it necessary for their security. How does that constitute an occupation when they were not present in there,
and why is it only by Israel, while the restrictions were imposed by both Egypt and Israel?
