Yes, I do. Especially since thousands of people have no family doctor in the first place. Do you think it's better they jam up the ER because they have a runny nose? Because in many cases, that's what they're doing. Wow, you rally have a narrow minded attitude.
As for pharmacists being pressured into prescribing "something off their list" as you call it. You're certainly not giving these professionals the benefit of the doubt. One could also say, doctors could also be prescribing "something off their list." In your negatively minded attitude, how is that any different? DoFo's cuts have forced family doctors to close. Most people I know either can't find a family doctor, are trying to hang on if they have one or are facing $250 visit fees from family doctors that went private. Privatizing health care is a DoFo goal. That's the biggest problem.
Walkin clinics were supposed to cover those who didn't have family doctors or who were away from them.
ER's are supposed to be for more serious emergencies, not day to day issues. And you weren't supposed to have to wait 12 hours at an ER or get a bed in a hallway.
Trying to argue that being able to go to Shoppers instead of a family doctor or walkin or even ER is ridiculous. If you think seeing a pharmacist is better than seeing a doctor who can actually diagnose different diseases you're an easy mark for the privatization of things we are already supposed to be paying for with our taxes. Ask yourself why DoFo spent $1 billion on putting beer in corner stores, which will lower revenue to Ontario, and won't spend that cash on family doctors, clinics, nurses or health care.

Immigration was also a problem. The combo of universities being defunded and being forced to rely on foreign students with corporations like Timmies lobbying for temporary foreign workers to staff them flooded the country for a couple of years. Both of those are federal and both have been cut back. Check out how messed up colleges and universities are now without that income, though.
That's different from DoFo screwing up every file he's actually responsible for.
DoFo wants to privatize health care so he's cut family doctor funding, hospital funding, nursing and instead is spending more on privatized services that cost the government more and instead of doctors he wants people to go to shoppers to see a pharmacist.
Education has been cut for years and is suffering, housing starts are way down under DoFo and he's added 200,000 homeless to Ontario.
Nothing DoFo has touched is better.
