@Dave in Phoenix :
I still have a folder of bookmarks from my first computer, (January, 2001), and here's a list of sites from that period dealing with Escort message boards:
The Erotic Review - just a url
Bigdoggie.net
starblvd.net
bbbforjohn.com
sp-list,com
adult-canada.com
thefoxfiles.com
ermail.org
canadianescorts.com
interpubl.com - I think this one was CanBest
escortaccess.com
Of course, none of these pages exist anymore, but maybe a name or two will ring a bell with you
Wow thanks for all the research.
Your 2001 date is interesting since it was about seven months before I joined TERB. I don't recall if there was any lag time between old and the now TERB. Or, if I joined this new TERB immediately when it opened.
Ahhh, I just found references on my Private List to the whole story of Fred Zed's death in 2017. I titled it "Tributes to Fred Zed," which is long and mentions the prior board but not the name. I recall also finding the OB.
One short paragraph:
Fred built a community and created a venue where like-minded people could interact and communicate in ways we couldn't before. His contribution to the industry was significant, and we are all better off for what he created for us.
Since the old stuff seems to have been deleted here and there were some family issues, I won't say more related to his death. I had even suggested doing a memorial page for him like I did for Stan Dale of the Human Awareness Institute and the workshops of his I attended in California.
Going back further I summarized lots of emails as I was kind of in the middle with the GTERB vs TERB mess. But this 2004-2007.
I was also in a discussion of I believe the idiot board GTERB owner and defending TERB when they were attacked. Oh yes and LoveCanada and the issues with the owner/s (Peter) of Diamonds...and Court Restraining orders - not related to Fred - Wow reading some of my old stuff that was interesting times!
I was defending Fred against attacks going back to 2007 and someone posing as him, which I believe resulted in him calling me to discuss since I believe he was aware of my defending him.
On the old site - Wow, thanks for the research. None of them ring the original Fred bell but it has been a long time since I even thought about the old pre-TER site. I am thinking even if I saw the name it may not ring any bells in my aging brain
