There has been absolutely zero discussion of the Paralympics.

Why are we ignoring them? Are they not worthy of our attention? I realize it is not as exciting as regular able-bodied athletics, but neither is women's sports compared to men's in most cases and we have threads dealing with women's sports.

The are potentially some Paralympic events I'd watch like wheelchair long jump or pole vault and the best would be at the winter games, the wheelchair ski jump. "He stuck that telemark landing."

For the long jump, they'd go as fast as they can and then they'd hit a barrier and see how far they'd fly out of their chair. (I know. I'm a sick fuck.)

Wheelchair springboard diving, or gymnastics would be fun to watch, especially the dismounts. Or wheelchair swimming relay races.
