This summer I was having breakfast at Cara's with my son that is 24 years old.

A woman a couple of tables away, good looking 40 ish, with a few people on her table giving me the eye and smiles. I did not shave for a couple of days, I did not shower that Sunday... I am like WTF.
This reminded me of the last scene in the movie Swingers.

Yeah. It could still not work. Look at 2:54/14:05 below:

Here is the same concept in joke form. It's quite cute and also poignant.

The Husband Store

A store that sells new husbands has opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates:

You may visit this store ONLY ONCE! There are six floors and the value of the products increase as the shopper ascends the flights. The shopper may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men Have Jobs. She is intrigued, but continues to the second floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids. "That's nice," she thinks, "but I want more." So she continues upward. The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, and are Extremely Good Looking. "Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help With Housework. "Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!" Still, she goes to the fifth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop- dead Gorgeous, Help with Housework, and Have a Strong Romantic Streak. She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor, where the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.

Gym - A joke, but then again I seen some get lucky if you are honest.
Do an Art class near by.
Walking - say hello.
Meetup dot com

EDIT: Public Library - it has programs for a day or night.

It surprises me a lot, that many people cannot say a simple " Hello" to a stranger
I am all for the hello to strangers, but there needs to be like a flirtatious eye contact prior aka He saw me, I saw him, little smile, and then you go.

Otherwise, out of nowhere it's unsettling a bit for a woman.

Write down 2-3 activities you enjoy... or used to enjoy in your youth. Now, take that list and go start doing it in a public/group setting. You'll find like minded people that you enjoy being around and eventually meet datable women that are your type.
This whole Craft store shopping stuff is bullshit unless that's what you are into... then take a course on stain glass windows and you're good to go.
I'm pretty healthy, but a decade older than you and woman regularly make small talk at health food stores... because they're either healthy, or trying to get healthy. Also people who shop there are generally not dirtbags, so we have that in common. .. also accept that woman over 40 will likely have kids, so you need to accept that and realize someone else paying for a kids expenses while you play dad is actually a sweet gig.

The problem dating a 40 and older women is the baggage they have. Typically carrying extra weight, kids, a career, and the girl boss attitude.

It's not attractive as a man who is physically fit, has no kids, retired and a distaste for a bad attitude that is not peaceful. As a older man I don't want complications. My life is to good already to tolerate that shit.

Nope, porn and Thailand maybe the life for me.

I completely understand that but many older guys have just as much baggage. They have weekend kids, drama filled ex wives/baby mommas, bad attitudes, are also overweight or bald or both.

Again though, I totally understand. I have no desire to date. Porn, escorting for some good sex compartmentalize and safe sexual relationships and temporary companionship is just easier.

I am single and no kids or ex. I have baggage from previous life and clowns in this life and some of the women I try to court passed away. I don't need silly extra drama.

I agree but this also tells me you are not quick enough or are lost.
If you are in a bar /cafe ( meetup place ) what do you expect to happen?
Dude, she was actually responding to examples of places you listed that are distinctly not “meetup places”. It’s honestly hard to follow your line of thinking.

Must be for the older crowd if it starts at 7:30pm and ends at 12:30am LOL

Back in my youth i would just be arriving to the club at 12:30am

Anyways I might check this out but I have been to some events like this in the past and usually the quality of women is not that great, lots of 5's and 6's not much higher. I just thought of this but what about an event with SP's who are now older and have retired and might be looking to explore dating someone exclusively.... someone should setup an event like that.

Of course people have baggage. As a guy with his shit together and finding a woman that would fit into my life in a way that would be beneficial to me is very difficult. Add to that what women want which has progressively become higher.

Both men and women don't need each other any more and our options for life choices has grown. Hence why women or men can't find a good woman or man since the expectations of what good has changed significantly. Neither sex is going to give.

It's odd how previously many of these things didn't matter as much. The more options we have the further we get away from what we want.

Now how you got that twisted and brought that here is beyond me but that is not the topic of this thread, so if you want to discuss that, then you and I can go back to that original thread. I would have been happy to continue there with you but you decided to bow out and I left it alone out of respect. I won’t derail this thread with that stuff. Do you want the link to that thread to continue there?
How exactly am I to reply to this? “Thank you for, respectfully, not unleashing your mighty radical feminist rage upon me, Jenesis”?

As much as it would delight me in some ways to see you further discuss the nuances of the “Ying and Yang” (lol) I think I’ll pass on your offer. How am I to have a serious convo with two giant tiddies staring through my soul anyway?

Radical feminist rage, eh? 😂😂😂😂

Hey - If that is how you need to spin it…….LOL

You brought it up, again, so I assumed you wanted to further discuss it. Obviously you had other motives. Which is fine. Do you boo. I now know to refrain from playing. Not a problem.

Stay safe.
