Muddy Waters at Newport 1960 was the first Muddy Waters LP I bought, as well as being the first Black blues artist album I bought. I was originally turned on to blues by white or mixed bands such as the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, but Muddy took me in a whole different direction. Soon after got the "Chicago The Blues Today" with Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Otis Rush, etc. three album set, and went off and running...

i have a few Blues albums....mostly bought after my teen years.....i listened to that genre of music growing up though because my father was a huge Blues fan
randomly i just picked my fav 5 Blues artists,,,no particular order
