It most likely will get very very ugly if Trump loses again and incites another January 6 insurrection or worse as he has strongly implied that he will not accept anything other than victory.
Trump and co have made it clear they will not accept anything other than a victory as legitimate.

Second, even at this writing, a lot of the info on the laptop has not been proven true. Sure, some has. But we don't know if everything was legit or was planted.
You are never going to get these people to admit the issues with the laptop.
The narrative that people it has been "confirmed as real" is too stuck in their brains now.

I don't think you understand the U.S. news market. TV news is provided by Fox, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and then some ancillary players. That doesn't count print. So even some liberals here have pointed out, Fox News might have the largest audience but that is in a fragmented market.

Fox News also seems to receives a lot of attention and hostility because their commentators frequently mock other news outlets for biased coverage. So the partisan nature of cable news is amplified. "How dare they" one might say.

In closing, I will say the 2020 U.S. Presidential election was not stolen..............but, but, but what about........in short, no caveats. See what a correct factual answer looks like.
I agree, the US news is fractured. However, with the ongoing decline of local news sources (which, unfortunately, is happening in Canada as well), many people are getting information from questionable sources. The right-wing media is, obviously, much larger than just Fox. I haven't seen the stats lately, but the top podcasts are right-wing, the talk radio format is heavily skewed to the right wing, and shares on Facebook and other social media (especially now on X), skew right. And, that wouldn't be an issue, per se, but they frequently misreport or pass on lies as if they were facts. But, because of Fox's largeness, they also tend to be the ones who amplify distorted takes, which the other right-wing folks spread. What's the old saying? A lie will be halfway around the world before the truth has its pants on...

And, let's take a look at how Fox amps up bullshit: This morning, on Fox Business (I know, not Fox news...), they had James Comer on talking about how the GOP is concerned that Tim Walz has ties to China, and maybe has been groomed. Now, no reasonable person would think this. But, Comer knows the Fox audience is easily manipulated, so he and Maria Bartilomo talk about it for like four minutes. And, I'm willing to bet this will get some play in the opinion shows at some point (if it hasn't happened already).

For anyone interested, here is the full fact check that is a clip from.

No. CNN did not confirm that "Trump has nothing to do with project 2025".
Wait, I thought Trump has no policies.

You should post the clip. Second hand accounts can be influenced by visceral responses.

Fox News no doubt has a large audience*, but I think the entire media itself paints everything like a team sport. There have been articles and polls that demonstrate most Americans have more nuanced political beliefs than the two parties and the middle is much larger than portrayed. From my vantage point, you get about 30% of the left and 30% of the right pulling in their direction. Of course, they are attracted to certain news outlets and disparage others.

Most of the Americans I know watch a variety of news channels and read some print newspapers or websites.

* The Fox News audience doesn't have the influence the three major TV networks had forty years ago

The narrative that Joe Biden was sharp as a tack was going on until Joe himself proved it was all a lie...how long was that going on?

I approve of this in general.
People should post clips and more complete ones.

You should look at Newsweek's headlines the last three weeks. They are posting headlines that conflict with the last. Sometimes in the same day.
No one should be posting any Newsweek.
They may sometimes put real information out, who can tell, but they clearly don't care one way or the other.

RFK drops out and endorses Trump.
That should give Trump a few extra percentage points (y)
