Not to mention the studies on how dim you have to be to think rump is smart.one day a university will open up a course studying Trump. They will study the correlation of why such an idiot was able to become potus.

I think you should understand a few things: I am not American, so I have no skin in this game. As a Canadian, I worry about the ramifications of both of them for our country. Neither will be great, though I suspect Trump would be much worse.I think we continue to have two bad candidates. Neither of whom should be president. But that this continuing thought that the Flaws of one shouldn't be pointed out because you don't like the other one shows how weak Kamala is.
It's like you are afraid she will be exposed.
I believe it comes from old school network diagrams. A company's local network, or your home network would be drawn in detail, but anything past your firewall into the internet was drawn as a big fuzzy cloud. So the internet became a cloud in marketing to dumb it down. It's just how some people talk about the cloud because you decentralize your files. You just work on them, save them, back them up, without having a clue where they are stored. And you don't care.
Anyone can sound like an idiot when edited.Um. Being a decent communicator is in the job description. She isn't really cutting it when she sounds like this.
Leader of the free world and all that......
Clever editing is not required. Give her a teleprompter she is fine. Make her think on her feet and she loses it. That has been proven in several one on ones.Anyone can sound like an idiot when edited.
That's the point of putting out edited clips for the rubes to fall for and amplify like good little wind-up toys.
What do you object to in her analogy of the evolution of privacy law?
Deep cut.You mean Francis W. Reichelderfer, the head of the U.S. Weather Bureau 1938-63?
Come on, Mandrill. So far, you got her on vaguely gesturing skyward and making a reference to "the cloud".
Killer stuff!
He's smart enough to beat Hilary Clinton...and become POTUSNot to mention the studies on how dim you have to be to think rump is smart.
Why would "thinking on her feet" be the optimum skill set for the job she seeks?!Clever editing is not required. Give her a teleprompter she is fine. Make her think on her feet and she loses it. That has been proven in several one on ones.
That's why she is avoiding pressers.
Yes, it was cut specifically to give that impression. The way she explained it sounds like she doesn't realize the information is stored in servers. She thinks the Cloud actually means it's somehow stored in the air.
If you only knew the number of times over the years I heard marketing people say the same thing
This is over a decade ago and she's speaking to a general audience. Not surprising she is using that metaphor. It's just how some people talk about the cloud because you decentralize your files. You just work on them, save them, back them up, without having a clue where they are stored. And you don't care.
The whole point she was making is that privacy law is based on the physical and that extending that analogy to what's happening with computers is a problem.I give people a huge break when they try to explain technical matters using physical analogies like file cabinets. Analogies are effective and get the point across, and drive pedantic people crazy, but that's fine.
And yet you specifically chose an edited clip and have been saying it shows she can't explain cloud computing.Clever editing is not required.
It isn't the optimum skill for the job.Why would "thinking on her feet" be the optimum skill set for the job she seeks?!
You feel maybe she should "think on her feet" about dropping a nuke on China or North Korea??!!
Or how about "thinking on her feet" about major economic policy decisions??!!
The thinking on your feet stuff is horseshit.
There will inevitably be an out of context "Kamala is dumb" 15 second clip from whatever public appearance she makes in any event. So he will be happy - or happily outraged - again. It isn't the optimum skill for the job.
It is something people react to on a campaign.
As has been pointed out many times, the skill set for campaigning and the skill set for being a good elected official aren't the same.
You're also forgetting Butler's repeated preference for messaging and narrative over policy and results when it comes to politics.
Skill with that is at least partially represented by "thinking on your feet" so naturally he values that.
But that's all kind of besides the point.
Butler is convinced that if she does a press conference of the kind he wants, there will be a stumble that can be used to propel a "Kamala is dumb" narrative in the press and give a boost to Trump's campaign.
That's why he is demanding she do something where someone can make a gotcha clip out of it.
Right now he is forced to settle for 20-second clips snipped from forum presentations over a decade old.
He needs something new to hang the story on.
But it's transmitted through the air from the server to your computer....The way she explained it sounds like she doesn't realize the information is stored in servers. She thinks the Cloud actually means it's somehow stored in the air.
There are already a bunch from speeches she gave. There will inevitably be an out of context "Kamala is dumb" 15 second clip from whatever public appearance she makes in any event. So he will be happy - or happily outraged - again.
Keep on making excuses.....I'm sure it was just due to a stutter.Yes, it was cut specifically to give that impression.
This is over a decade ago and she's speaking to a general audience. Not surprising she is using that metaphor.
Of course, if you listen to the actual talk, you realize the fact it is in "the cloud" is important to what she's talking about, since the whole discussion is about privacy law and how it applies.
The location of the physical server is irrelevant to her point that it is not a single physical file in your home.
(She goes on to talk about theft law and copyright as well.)
The whole point of editing it this way is to bait the rubes and make them say idiotic things like "She thinks the Cloud actually means it's somehow stored in the air."
You're really afraid to go look at her actual talk, aren't you?Keep on making excuses.....I'm sure it was just due to a stutter.
She was a respected and effective practicing criminal prosecutor. Can;t think of a more unforgiving forum not to be able to think and speak on your feet.Clever editing is not required. Give her a teleprompter she is fine. Make her think on her feet and she loses it. That has been proven in several one on ones.
That's why she is avoiding pressers.
