How the Biden manipulation and the Kamala switch went down will be discussed by the Trump campaign. Nothing is going to change that. Win or lose, the Kamala campaign is not organic nor will it likely be perfectly executed. Obama was the last perfectly executed campaign. You just have to accept criticism of her campaign especially when it is a matter of fact.
It's going far better than expected.
I've admitted here the Democrats have done an excellent job of launching Kamala Harris' campaign. I however said the Democrats blew through several warning signs over the last seven months to get to this point. Seriously, someone close to Biden saved the Democrats in 2024 by scheduling that debate in June and not later.
Yup.
It's far too early. Trump is not executing a great strategy. He should just shut up until after the Democratic convention.
But here's the problem. If you build your party and campaign around a celebrity candidate "being himself", the entire strategy is "Trump doing Trump".
He's got no real policy positions except vague horseshit about "Make America Great Again" and random insults about people he doesn't like. And it works with many people. I have a nephew-in-law whose downstate IL retired cop dad and mom LOVE Trump and wear Trump merch.
But the problem is that stuff is vulnerable to "the next big thing" and the next big thing is the "feisty Afro American woman attorney" who's a "fighter" and her lovable "America's grandpa" running mate. So Trump's appeal erodes with the less committed.
Plus the fact that he's as senile as Joe B was and he probably can't physically get out and do the campaigning any more.
Harris is riding a Biden relief wave.
Nah. She's riding a Trump relief wave. Mr and Ms Centre Politics American have someone likeable and apparently competent to defeat the crazy old guy who rants about stolen elections. So they're all in on it.
As far as JDV, neither party really selected VPs that speak to the center. They are marginally regional sons of the old Blue Wall. And sure, I think Trump should have selected Rubio or Scott. He's probably kicking himself for listening to Don Jr.
So you got a dickhead who's not only anti abortion, but also anti divorce - which must creep out most of the women voters in America - on one hand. And on the other, a guy who's so "commie" he stood up for free school meals for kids and free feminine products at school to stop teenage sweeties from getting embarrassed about their periods.
Who are people going to vote for?
