Mitch,
This is not a winning message for Trump. He will just piss off suburban, moderate woman. The woman who will take this gossip to heart are already voting Republican.
This wasn't Trump's only message. Trump spoke off the cuff for 77 minutes. No teleprompters, took a lot of questions from the press!!

Last time I checked, this was a discussion board and people discuss issues.
I'm not even sure I know what you are seeing. Valcazar and I were having a discussion. Val noted that similar to Kamala, Humphrey didn't win any primaries in 1968. Then somehow you're upset I'm discussing Humphrey.

You're always welcome to join our discussion. You are less welcome to be the arbiter of what is appropriate to post or not post.

You're welcome to put me on ignore, if you choose.
Many of our discussions are fine. I don't think we agree on a lot but it's not all disagreement.

Complaining certain discussions on an escort website political forum are esoteric seems to be redundant.

I do not disagree with most of what you said except Walz is a great attack dog and I believe he will compliment Harris and be an asset heading towards November instead of Vance being dead weight laying on a musty couch. I will also add Shapiro sees himself as number 1, not a number 2.........
Don't take this wrong way, but I all I picked up on from your Walz post was he's a dog and number 2. ;)

My point is that no one - aside from a handful of GOP-supporting political buffs - really cares that the way Harris got nommed was irregular. Shit happens and it happened in the Dem party this year. Once in a lifetime, maybe. But that's how shit rolls.

So maybe it's more useful to focus on the issues of the campaign than to continually suggest that Biden was coup d'etat-ed and Harris is somehow an improper choice for the nom.
How the Biden manipulation and the Kamala switch went down will be discussed by the Trump campaign. Nothing is going to change that. Win or lose, the Kamala campaign is not organic nor will it likely be perfectly executed. Obama was the last perfectly executed campaign. You just have to accept criticism of her campaign especially when it is a matter of fact.

I've admitted here the Democrats have done an excellent job of launching Kamala Harris' campaign. I however said the Democrats blew through several warning signs over the last seven months to get to this point. Seriously, someone close to Biden saved the Democrats in 2024 by scheduling that debate in June and not later.

I've got a question for you btw. Given Trump's very sparse campaign schedule and the wet splat that JDV has made, will Trump stay the course, or will he either pull out altogether or will he fight a half-hearted campaign and claim it was unwinnable when he loses in October?
It's far too early. Trump is not executing a great strategy. He should just shut up until after the Democratic convention. Harris is riding a Biden relief wave.

As far as JDV, neither party really selected VPs that speak to the center. They are marginally regional sons of the old Blue Wall. And sure, I think Trump should have selected Rubio or Scott. He's probably kicking himself for listening to Don Jr.

@JDVance
has been persistently asking Kamala to take questions from the press. After Vance walked over to Kamala's plane, a CNN panelist called it "stalking" and went on a bizarre rant about "women's rights... not having people control our bodies." She said Vance was "stepping into her territory... the physicality of it is supposed to send a message." WHAT?

It's going far better than expected.

Yup.

But here's the problem. If you build your party and campaign around a celebrity candidate "being himself", the entire strategy is "Trump doing Trump".

He's got no real policy positions except vague horseshit about "Make America Great Again" and random insults about people he doesn't like. And it works with many people. I have a nephew-in-law whose downstate IL retired cop dad and mom LOVE Trump and wear Trump merch.

But the problem is that stuff is vulnerable to "the next big thing" and the next big thing is the "feisty Afro American woman attorney" who's a "fighter" and her lovable "America's grandpa" running mate. So Trump's appeal erodes with the less committed.

Plus the fact that he's as senile as Joe B was and he probably can't physically get out and do the campaigning any more.
Harris is riding a Biden relief wave.
Nah. She's riding a Trump relief wave. Mr and Ms Centre Politics American have someone likeable and apparently competent to defeat the crazy old guy who rants about stolen elections. So they're all in on it.

So you got a dickhead who's not only anti abortion, but also anti divorce - which must creep out most of the women voters in America - on one hand. And on the other, a guy who's so "commie" he stood up for free school meals for kids and free feminine products at school to stop teenage sweeties from getting embarrassed about their periods.

Who are people going to vote for?

He went over to her plane because she was away doing a rally and then he pretended that she was avoiding him.

And when she and her entourage approached, he ran away. But he got his fake bullshit headline photo ops done by her plane.
