it's funny none of the news has pick this story up... There was a story a long time ago for a one eastbound, it was stop and go traffic a little bit before keele Street. Cars were stopped and one guy decided to put his clutch out the car rolled back bumped into an individual's car. The guy in the moving car comes out screaming you hit my car you damaged this, but he didn't check but the Chinese driver had a dash cam recorded everything OPP were called nothing was done. The Internet went after the scam artist, they found out where he lived, worked and posted his picture and his car in the neighborhood warning about the scam artist. The pressure must've got to him because he went crying to the media saying he's been ostracized! He told a reporter my foot might have slipped off the clutch and while he was stating that he was also smiling love it when they do that. Now the OPP re-investigated it it seems this guy had about 7 Vehicle Violations in Montréal and both his parents operated a physiotherapy business if I recall right steels and Woodbine area? There were several charges of fraud and that was it. No media updates

I think he moved out of Whitby because of pressure..

Don't get me wrong I'm all for immigration and cultural diversity but as the saying goes, "when in Rome..." If that's ok in your native homeland it doesn't necessarily mean it's ok where you immigrate to. Maybe there should be a class on cultural etiquette for newcomers because stuff like this is not acceptable but if we keep accepting it, it will become acceptable. And the norm.

I think there used to be one or if not, at least do some research on the country you intended to move...I did...I moved here with my parents when I was 15. I remember them reading about Canada (no internet or google back then) My first years were spending a lot of travel to small towns, my parents were very outdoor-sy...we fish and camp, by the time I was 18...i haven't done any stuff I've used to growing up other than eating the food from back home...

Eh. I never said India did not have a racism issue. I said its never discussed in India or talked about because it is a western concept. Race does not exist in public discourse. It oughta. But it does not. So there is a lot of ignorance surrounding that. However that said we talk about it more today than we did 20 years ago. So that's good FWIW.

Also that 2013 survey that gets parrotted around essentially asked if Indians would want a foreign neighbour and 40% said they would want their neighbour to be Indian. India is not an immigrant destination so this question has no practical implications in India unlike Canada where such an answer would be problematic as evidenced by the responses in this thread. You could therefore take it either way but regardless I'd be the first to admit that India is very ignorant about racism.

Why is it Canada is supposed to feel enthralled to be an "immigrant destination" to have millions of immigrants who basically contribute a complete culture clash with complete disregard for the discomfort it causes to the people who actually built their own culture and are expected to relinquish it to a massive influx of people who show absolutely no interest in assimilating or respecting the country they are flooding? Why are we meant to be so overjoyed about an obvious threat? Your entitlement and faux outrage is pretty standard fare among the latest surge of immigrants.

Just because 1 or 2 guys did this, it doesn’t mean its the culture of entire race. I ve got racially discriminated by lot of white folks whom I never knew in my life before. But still if someone asks me about the nicest people in the earth, I would say canadians. You can’t judge a entire nation or a race on the basis of the acts of a few people. Also there's testimony from some chick up in Wasaga Beach who claims it happens there all the time.

Unfortunately, not all Canadians think that. For them if one does it, everyone of same race, culture, ethnicity does it. The other day I was in Oakville and saw a group of teenagers mocking an old Indian guy on his face and being all racist.
