Few safety notes for Columbia
- There have been rise in tourist recently both from US and Canada which has led to few issues
- 1. Strictly avoid underage ladies - recently one American tourist was caught with 2 underage kids which led to this protest and ban
- https://www.nbcnews.com/news/latino...work-areas-us-tourist-found-minors-rcna146261. So there is
- so there is lot of anger in locals - unless you stick to 18+ rules - you will be good. Most hotels will ask to register the visitor and will take copy of the ID
- 2. Be Aware about Rise in Scopolamine Related Drugging issues.
- From our govt's travel advisory - https://travel.gc.ca/destinations/colombia
- US, UK have there own advisories on this
- Avoid Seeking / Tinder or meeting girls in bar - mostly they will add something to your drink, and then you will wake up 3-5 days after.
- Please watch second half of this documentary -
- This is very common pattern -
- you meet some in bar
- you think you got lucky
- you bring girl back to hotel
- she adds Scopolamine in your drink.
- you loose your consciousness, and will provide all info they request
- they take money out of credit cards / banks for 2-3 days and then you wake up somewhere
- 3. AirBnb risk
- I read some story where someone brought some visitor to the AirBnb.
- He got drugged and woke up 2-3 days later without one kidney.
- They bribed the security guard etc. One doctor came later- operated and left the body in bath tub with ice
- 4. Avoid less crowded places after Sunset.
- So neighbourhoods like Zona T, Financial District are safe -
- Best thing is to ask your hotel reception team about safety
- This person is from Montreal and he got stabbed just to steal iphone -
- 1. Strictly avoid underage ladies - recently one American tourist was caught with 2 underage kids which led to this protest and ban
- Use decent 4-5 star hotels.
- Most of these hotels have good security in place, and as a security procedure they will accompany the girl along to your room.
- Most of these hotels also call you on your room no after the lady has left the room, but not the hotel.
- Most of these hotels allow visitors, and some like Holiday inn charge little extra for second visitor.
- Hotel list - I am sharing list of hotels below which I used. Most of these hotels called me after booking except Chico 97
- Hotels:
- Bogota
- Parue 93
- Novotel Bogota Parque 93
- DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bogotá - Parque 93
- Hotel Chico 97
- ZonaT
- Avani Royal Zone T
- Andnio Royal NH collection
- Financial District
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bogota Zona Financiera, an IHG Hotel
- Radisson Bogota Metrotel
- Close to Airport
- Holiday Inn Bogota Airport, an IHG Hotet
- Parue 93
- Cartagena
- Wyndham Garden Cartagena - Close to airport - not safer after 6pm
- InterContinental Cartagena De Indias, an IHG Hotel - situation in safe tourist Brocagrande neigbourhod
- Bogota
- Hotels:
- As a rule of thumb - I jut booked American Brand hotels
- Chico 97 was one of the local hotels and they did not call to check (though they had guards downstairs).
How I met local women?
- It was my first trip to Columbia and I do not know Spanish, so I relied on the agencies to make booksing.
- Building some rapport with booker or leaving them some tip also helps.
- Here is the list of agencies - you can find them using Google search - most bookings were made via whatsapp.
- Agencies (mostly used #1 and #2 - used #3 just once)
- 1. https://www.lasnenasbogota.com/- Little hotter girls.
- 2. https://eroticasbogota.com/ - Regular girls.
- 3. https://lacelestina.co/
- All 3 agencies had
- a) Accurate photos
- b) Price clearly mentioned on their website
- c) extra - BBBJ is extra and you can talk to the lady direclty for this - it's like 20 to 40 USD (very hot ones charge extra- otherwise 20 is more than sufficient).
- Agencies (mostly used #1 and #2 - used #3 just once)
- Bogota
- I had a amazing time in Bogota. Agency supply was so good that I put cut off 22 year age, and did not see anyone above.
- almost all the bookings were great GFEs. I found Columbian ladies to be great GFE experience. There was no miss as such.
- EB has lot of regular Columbian girls - few 18 year old as well.
- Las Nenas had lot of students (Psychology students, Lawyer, engineering students, Prospective Air Hostes) - overall great time chatting and getting to know about them, culture, city along with the booking. lots of memories from Las Nenas ladies.
- Cartagena
- I was really excited with the idea of beach town - and hobbying with view of the Sea, but I found Cartagena to be more of a tourist trap
- EB agency does not operates in Cartagena, I tried 2 booking via Las Nenas.
- first one ended up being bait and switch (someone really old in 40s came in)
- second booking the girl cancelled last minute
- The booker told me they are also dependent on some one else on Cartagena.
- So staying felt like complete wastage of time so I came back to Bogota and resume hobbying with < 22.
- Medellin
- I skipped this city as hotels were expensive (>300CAD). Also there were very few american hotels, mostly locals
- Medellin has higher crime rate than Bogota - so it felt safe to avoid it
- Cali
- one of the girls I saw told me point blank - don't go to Cali - so just I stick to her advice.
- Santa Marta
- Skipped it this time as I saw no agencies operated there - but planning to go there next time
- For next trips ( i am definitely going again) - I plan to meet local ladies as well but outside usual places like Tinder/SA/Bars.
- Bogota has amazing 18 degree temperature throughout the year.
- From Toronto - both Avianca and Air Canada has direct flights to Bogota. If you book in advance tickets are like 350 CAD one way.
- Bogota is also a hub city in LATAM - so you can always travel further in LATAM. I am planning next trip to Argentina with few days in Bogota.
- Few other must try items
- Juan Valdez - local Starbucks - great coffee for USD 3-4 https://juanvaldez.com/
- Monserrate (church over mountains) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monserrate is amazing. You can always make a longer booking and go here with the companion.
- Safe neighbourhoods in Bogota (Parque 93, Zona T, Financial district) - avoid the other side of the city.
