Richard Simmons Dead at 76 (tmz.com)

One day after his birthday (July 12th).

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... police and fire responded to a call from his housekeeper just before 10 AM Saturday and pronounced him dead at the scene. We're told no foul play is suspected at this time, and cops are investigating it as a natural death. Law enforcement sources say Richard took a fall last night, which may be connected to his passing.
I think that's how Bob Saget passed away as well. RIP.

A sad day indeed, RIP.

A credit to humanity passes away while a hate monger survives and assassination attempt. When Howard Stern was still relevant, Andrew Dice Clay told Richard Simmons that he loved him.

Richard Simmons would have made a legendary 007, shame he never got the chance.

He was a recluse for many years late in life. I always found him entertaining and a positive influence for people.

Although Richard Simmons never publicly admitted that he was a homosexual, he did accidentally come out in February, 1989, on an episode of Family Feud.

All-Star Special: Funny Women vs. Funny Men 1989: Game 4

The tossup question was "Name a place where lovers meet to share a secret kiss.". Richard slammed the buzzer and squealed "The locker room! ...oh, wait". After that, he made comically painful attempts to get back into the closet, but the cat was out of the bag. The ventriloquist act of Willie Tyler and Lester were on his team, and Lester rotated his head 180 degrees to face Richard, and audibly mumbled "Stay away from me, you damned faggot". Things like that could still happen, in the 80's.

There is, understandably, no online video evidence to confirm this. Family Feud from 1989 isn't something that would be released on home video, that episode would be omitted or edited if it played on The Game Show Network, and anyone who home-taped Family Feud in 1989 would have taped over that episode by now, or the tape would no longer be watchable, or they wouldn't know how to convert analog VHS to digital video. I did, however, personally see that episode.

Richard made his silver screen debut in the 1969 film Fellini: Satyricon, in the uncredited cameo role of 'Nymphomaniac's Slave'.

Also, if you ever saw Richard on High Definition TV, you'd know that he wore 'nude' tights underneath the gym shorts.

At this point why not make him a 007, hell put him in a Harriot Tubman biopic. Actually the latter would be kinda funny if extremely disrespectful.

Andrew Dice Clay loved SImmons.... sucking his DICK Ohhhh! fucking unbahlevable!

NotADoctor, Richard Simmons was never a Fair Princess. He never had fabulous tits, nor an enchanting smiles and wooden teeth which he may have bought from a chemist in Oldenburg.

Seriously I was surprised by what Dice said without a hint of homoeroticism. He was a guest of Stern and Simmons phoned in, after a brief conversation Dice said he loves him - he was being genuine. Of course Benji the talent-less hack had to riff on it.

I figured as much, Stern keeps a couple Shaqs as his security team.

Look at how much bigger The Big Aristotle is next to the Inside the NBA Producer Joe "Underdog" Underhill.
