Any woman of note who's not toeing the Maga line and "getting all uppity" gets villified on Fox. Hillary had 20 years of it. So has Kamala. And of course AOC. If they're a women of color it's particularly viscious. How dare they deign to criticise men!
Kamala was elected senator and attorney General in a state larger in population than Canada. She's more competent than portrayed on the right. That being said, shes not so exceptional that I see her beating Trump. I hope I'm wrong. She'd for sure be a better president. I think the idea James Carville had of a series of town halls where everyone starts at 0 is the way to go. Biden's been a surprisingly effective president but I too worry, but more worried about keeping America a democracy, not a corrupt fascist state where it's secrets are sold off by the Trump royal family. And, if you just devolve to Kamala without a primary that looks a bit ...incomplete. Biden get nominated because he was more centrist than the other candidates, and could thus beat Trump. He did. If Biden did OK in the debate he would have won again. But he was such a disaster, and has not been able to recover yet. Now it is looking like he may not be able to beat Trump. But the anti- Trump vote is so strong (again, if you watch Fox you have no idea that more than half the country is so appalled by trump) 8d Biden stays he still will win the popular vote. The question is whether he can keep Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvanian.
Oh please, Kamala had serious flaws and is anti charming. AOC is border line nuts.
She was elected in California, that's easy street for a democrat, not the same as winning the country. Also Senators and attorney generals don't go under the microscope nearly as much as someone running for president.
I never said she wasn't competent, but she has serious baggage both in past actions and in unpleasantness. For myself, I can't overlook how she was laughing about her collage drug use [which might have been a lie] while having put behind bars many for doing what she was laughing about, also the whole, Biden is a racist but I will be his running mate just leave a foul taste in my mouth. Not as foul as Trump which I am sure Stormy Daniels can attest but again, low bard.
BTW I am not a republican, I am an absolute monarchist so... When the Economist says Trump is a danger, I think they are underselling things. His whole, I never hear of Agenda 2024 even though many of my peeps are involved with it and I think it's nutty but I wish the luck, WTF, who does that... oh yeah a pathological liar. I am no bloody Trumptard nor do I even have Fox News.
The polls seem to suggest that Kamala wouldn't do any better than Biden.
But just as Republicans can only see the bad, Democrats can't see the drawbacks
Also it isn't a bloody gender thing/race, they will go after anyone who isn't them. Please.
The vice-president already looks like her party’s prospective presidential nominee

There is one political task she cannot delay, however. That is to understand why her presidential campaign failed, which was not mainly to do with her race or gender, however much of an electoral burden they may be. Her stump speech sounded like group-written marketing spiel (something about wanting to “prosecute the case against Donald Trump”). Her promise—quickly rescinded—to scrap private medical insurance suggested a politician who had no clear idea where or what she stood for: whether on the left, with an emphasis on expanding the government, or towards the centre, with more focus on enterprise and opportunity. This was why the pundits and donors who at first flocked to her quickly moved on. It was in turn why she resorted to playing the race card against Mr Biden. No wonder she makes some Democrats nervous.
Here is a 4 minute video from the same sorts of people who booed Trump at a recent event if you think it's just a MAGA and fox news thing
There are some governors that would have a better shot [Not Newsome what the fuck are they thinking], Buttigreg or however you spell his name would be a promising candidate, well spoken, not ancient not too radical, as far as I know he hasn't screwed the pooch on anything but I could be wrong on that point and the sorts of people who would have a problem with his love of cock would never vote democrat anyways so it's a non issue
