Then whats the point of these parades? How ironic...
Again, you are being purely ignorant. “The point of the parades is to BE KNOWN” the original comment you replied to. That is the point, why can’t you comprehend that? Every time someone is interrupted by the protests, they become more aware of how serious the cause is. Every time it’s on the news, or someone is talking about it with a friend, it fosters the opportunity for a conversation, and for education. The protests show that we will not give up, there are people in Gaza who thank people around the world and the students in the encampments. It’s on social media and it’s beautiful it truly brings tears to my eyes. Secondly, I think you made a mistake because I said everyone knows people in Palestine don’t support LGBT. The point of the protests isn’t to tell people they don’t support, so where did the protests come into your second comment. Please don’t come w to me with your bs, you don’t make sense and truly I don’t care about educating you if you don’t want to learn. I hope you have a lovely rest of your day, take care love. ❤

Its protests like at pride that have helped change Canadian views.
When half the country says they are committing genocide they should be worried.

A Leger poll published this month and commissioned by the staunchly pro-Israel National Post showed 45 per cent of Canadians “agree that Israel is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip,” representing a two per cent increase from a similar Leger poll taken in January.
In the June poll, 23 per cent disagreed that Israel is committing a genocide, down from 31 per cent in the earlier poll. The number of those who responded “don’t know” increased by six per cent to 32 per cent of those surveyed.

The people they alienated are defending the ongoing genocide, schlong. They weren't there and they are looking for ways to attack the protests.

Supporters of Palestine understand.
Well the protestors might want to find a more effective way to garner support outside of their own angry circle jerk than to literally rain on someone else's parade. Because pissing people off does not work to make people sympathetic to your cause. Never has, never will.

Did you poll the people at pride, or is this just you being offended on their behalf?
Is it all protesters you're angry at, or just the ones at pride?
Does that make the police good here?

Palestine is a Muslim country, I am sorry but what did you expect? It is not fair by any means, but it’s blatantly obvious and unexpected that they have these rules. Firstly, anyone who is a Palestinian, and a part of the LGBTQ community, would unequivocally tell you that it does not matter what the rights around gay people in Gaza are when Gazans as a whole are being murdered. Second, literally everyone knows that Palestine would not support the gays, Queers4Palestine, as well as all queers know this. They choose to support the cause because they support the cause, so again, it literally does NOT matter what the Palestinians think of Gay people. Finally, Gaza is not the only Homophobic country in the world, in fact a google search shows how many LGBTQ people say that they have been subjected to much worse cruelty than usual in occupied Palestinian territories now that Benjamin Netanyahu has taken over the government that calls itself Israeli.
Lol this is the worst take on the subject I've ever heard....Israel was the safe haven the lgbtq have in the middle east...

Well you know ''they choose to support the cause because they support the cause it literally does NOT matter what the Palestinians think of Gay people ''.....Hard to argue with that logic.

Even better, if "Pride" wants to be taken seriously, they should stop flashing their junk in front of children on open streets.
Exactly. You don't see this type of behavior at Caribana or Taste of the Danforth. You see people eating and dancing. That's it. Why don't they do it a Pride. Oh let me guess. Because there is no such thing as gay cuisine and gay music because gay culture isn't a thing.

So when you and other right wingers post about trans people, you think its now ok because Israel has a pride?
That somehow this means you've really been arguing for LGBTQ rights and drag library readings all along?

You mean they "hide" their LGBTQ people in prisons that get bombed?
The GOP and now PeePee are all going nuts that there was nudity at Pride parades.
How are your attitudes any different than Hamas?

Oh wait, I know.
Hamas doesn't support killing women and children, torturing prisoners, raping them and taking their land.

But go ahead, tell us that you are totally excited by the Pride parades.

I admire your penchant for blurring lines of arguments in an desperate attempt at distraction.

You seriously think that explicit nude behavior in public, around kids, is ok? (regardless of sexual orientation)

You also think imprisoning someone because they are LGBTQ is acceptable?

See, you're as liberal as Hamas.
You're against Pride too.

The difference is you also support killing children along with Gaza LGBTQ.

You are more upset about nudity then you are about genocide.
What does that say about you, skoob?

More pivoting and distracting...thanks for admitting you can't answer any questions without tripping over your own hypocrisy.

ps I like watching the Left eat itself. Bon Appetit!

In 2016, the parade was hijacked by BLM...
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/pride-parade-toronto-1.3662823

This year it was hijacked by Palestine protesters...
https://torontosun.com/news/local-n...nds-gather-in-toronto-for-annual-pride-parade

Here's a piece of advice...if you want your cause to be taken seriously, stop hijacking other parades and instead, come up with a parade of your own and pay the costs yourself.
The reason why the Pride parade gets hijacked. It is because the pride community likes to interject their cause/agenda with any minority group movement in order to sake a claim. And if you don't let them they will spin the narrative that you are a bigot/homophobe/prejudice.

So that being said. BLM had a right to hijack the parade in 2016 seeing that BLM communicates openly that BLM technically is a queer movement. And Palestine protesters have a right to hijack because LGBTQ has members in Palestine....

seems to me you might be a little gay yourself considering you care soooo much about their rights or does it only matter when the country is in the middle east?

Interesting argument. Because gay people are international and do not have a national cuisine that is purveyed in casual dining spots, they cannot have a culture. I'll bear that pearl of wisdom in mind.

Fact of the matter is that anyone who wants to have a parade needs to follow the process to secure a permit, close the streets, pay for police, etc. They incur the costs.
If someone else wants to hold a parade for a cause they are free to do so. Hijacking another event is wrong and disrespectful.
