Consider this:

It's a bye election, which means that Liberal voters probably DGAF. Tory voters - OTOH - "wanted to send a message". So results are skewed.

Let's see what happens in the REAL election.
Consider this...people are fed up with Trudeau whether you think this was a "real" election or not.

Sad day for b'ver and Mandy. Too bad Justin has zero class and won't do the right thing by his party.

Justin's arrogance and pride will not allow him to go through an election that he knows he will lose badly.
Or he'll just go through the motions and ride it out so that he doesn't hold the stigma of a resignation.

I'm sure his handlers will tell him what to do & say as usual.

Attention, my hopium-addicted rightie brethren. Here are the results of the bye election.

The Tories plundered most of their increase in votes from leftie parties like the Greens and the NDP. The Libs dropped 8%, which again is attributable to the off year bye election.

What I find mind boggling is that there is a riding in this country where 40% of voters think that the drama teacher is doing a bang up job.
Is there something in the water in that riding?
Do they only get the CBC and City TV?
Are they deaf? dumb? blind?
I read there's alot of renters in that riding, they must love paying crazy amounts for rent while being shut out of the housing market.
And the Jagmiester came through with a big fat turd, no surprise there.

So that riding could have gone either way the past 30 years yet always remained Liberal by a large margin?

Wow must have been a fluke then, and had nothing to do with Trudeau's house of shit. Go figure.

Too bad terb liberals keep trying to minimize this rather that facing how big this vote was.
They minimize things on the outside, but are crying on the inside.

They're desperately hoping Poilievre gets caught in blackface and drops out of the election. Conservatives are not allowed to wear blackface. That would be unforgivable in Liberals' eyes.

I don't believe they think he's doing a good job.
I think they have bought into the Liberal narrative (i.e. brainwashing) of "conservative = bad" and have not been de-programmed yet, and are voting Liberal out of that indoctrinated fear.

No one in their right mind would think he's been doing a good job.

Wow that was a close race. Does anyone know if there are any other by elections in the future?

The thing is they don't. They are just so anti-Conservative they'd rather chop their right arm off before voting for them. Unfortunately I have family members like that too. They are not operating off logic or rational thought. Common Sense if we may.

Plus the handout recipients that know Justin will deliver the gimmies.

And Jagmeet played his cards all wrong. He let Justin steal all his ideas and know he has no message.

I have family like this. Their minds are programmed to think Conservatives are evil and romanticize the Liberals.
