Really? You don’t like the Oilers? I just can’t believe it’s the final week of June. They need to shave an entire month off of this thing to finish earlier.Woo hoo!!!
I had this feeling that they were going to lose. Or more likely, it just figured that they would lose. They got cocky and frankly, they just seemed to be phoning it in. Sure there were a few instances of hard driving determination, but they just didn't seem to be playing balls to the wall like they did in the previous 3 games where they were just relentless and constantly on the gas. It seemed like they were playing a regular season game rather than the 7'th game in the Stanley Cup final. All of that was reflected in the shots on goal totals and the score board.I really thought they were going to win, they've looked so dominant the past 3 games. I was so optimistic I laid 2 bills on them to win. Oh well 31 years and counting since a Canadian team won the Cup.
Ya it would have been good for Canada if the Oilers won. I'm not even a fan of theirs but it would have been nice to see Connor get a ring as opposed to Matthew Tka-upchuk.I had this feeling that they were going to lose. On the bright side, it was cool to watch the Florida crowd join along in the singing of Oh Canada (or that might have been the Oiler fans there, I dunno), I was happy to see Paul Maurice finally win a cup and it was a fair game and Florida legitimately won the game. Anjd Florida won their first ever Stanley Cup.
It was a shame that Edmonton didn't win as I truly felt that it would have been great for national unity as goofy as that sounds. But after years of Trudeau telling Canadians that we are all a bunch of bags of shit, it sure would have been nice to have something positive to say about Canada for a change. I'm more disappointed about that than anything else.
That's why I never bet on these games. I really wanted the Oilers to win, but at least I didn't lose any money betting on the Oilers!!I really thought they were going to win, they've looked so dominant the past 3 games. I'm with you on the 31 years and counting, would have been nice especially the way they came back, what a crazy story it would have been had they won. I'm not a McDavid fan, but I can't even imagine how he must feel right now.I really thought they were going to win, they've looked so dominant the past 3 games. This is the truth. They sure provided hours of great hockey to watch!!
Loved it.
It's almost bloody July. How long until training camp? 8 or 9 weeks?Really? You don’t like the Oilers? I just can’t believe it’s the final week of June. They need to shave an entire month off of this thing to finish earlier.

That's the nature of sports, isn't it Kirk. There's always ebbs and flows and nobody can predict when trends are going to change. Just because a team or an individual is clearly the best, doesn't mean they never lose. Everybody has off days.I really thought they were going to win, they've looked so dominant the past 3 games.
