Well, they actually invited a Ukrainian veteran of the WW2 into parliament to be honoured and didn't figure out that many WW2 Ukrainian vets had fought on "the wrong side" until after the event had taken place.
You had to be:
a). A war buff; or
b). Ukrainian or have dated / been close friends with one back 40 or 50 years ago to "get it" without doing a lot of research and digging.
