Had the weekend pretty much to myself... Thought I see two SPs on Saturday and another on Sunday... Ended up helping my parents with stuff and fixing shit my kids fucked up. I also cut my grass and transplanted vegetable seedlings while looking after a sourdough starter (I'm trying new things). I'm near halfway into the year and I've had sex three times. Dude there are people way worse off than you. My buddy who's married 15 years hasn't had sex with his wife since the 2nd week of January. I'm married close to 15 yrs...me and SO do it in every opportunity (kids not home)...My eldest drives and would take his siblings out on the weekends for bubble tea or whatever kids are on these days...wife knows once kids are out...somethings going down....

Im just starting to slow down now...we had sex 4x in a week when on holiday (kids in another room) and since then (begin of April) f-all...asked her wtf? She said she doesn't know whats going on doesn't feel like it lately, and kids around...menopause...is this normal? Does menopause make them not want it? Its been slow at times but never like this, I know she has alot on her plate and still affectionate but man Im not liking it.

I can't understand the concept of wanting to have sex regardless of circumstances. Is it something one MUST do?? I get wanting sex 24/7 during teens, 20's and even early 30's, but it's natural for the sex drive to slow down. This isn't a paid job, we don't get an award for having an orgasm.

I can have sex with my SO at any given moment, but won't force myself to do it when I don't feel it. Having sex with SO feels like a chore quite frankly, because it's very routine with very little excitement. Women get comfortable in a relationship, lose their sex appeal and aren't that invigorating to have sex with. It's more of an obligation now than an enjoyment.

Having sex with a beautiful young lady is a lot more fun, but even that gets old after a while. It's all very repetitive and once in a bit the experience can be a negative one and a turn off. Meeting new SP doesn't set off mental fireworks anymore as it once did, during beginner's hobby days. I accept it and wait for the time when I DO get that scratch. Doesn't meet I'm in a rut. Simply means I'm a grown boy now.

Menopause typically affects sex drive because it results in a drastic decrease of the hormones that push it for women. So if she's near that age, that could be what's going on.
Though also keep in mind that being stressed or having a lot on her plate could also be contributing.

Omg! Sounds like a pretty typical weekend for me. Nothing to be down about. Thats what a good father and son does. Help people out and run the household. Was going to see an SP I like this weekend but she was too far away. Will try in a few weeks. I ended up cutting the grass, weeding and cleaning up the garage. Sex with SO is all relative. For some sex once a month is a sexless marriage, and some havnt had sex with their SO in years. I'm unfortunately in the latter. Except for that most things work in the relationship.
