Great comeback , Hope Garcia comes back in 9th for save, I can’t bear to watch Romano.

Vladdy, Jano, IKF, Schneider. Clement are swinging hot bats, Bo starting to come around, hope offensive drought is over.

I know, Vlad is swinging pretty well right now. He’s hitting over .400 in his last 12 games. It’s so easy to buy into the promise with him. Lol. I like him hitting third in the order instead of second, that’s for sure.

Vladdy got off to a slow start, that happens. Trading him away could haunt the Jays like spoiled eggs for over a decade....unless Alan Smithee is available.

To the Core

When you have a new motto, who needs Ohtani or Teo or Bellinger?
Neither of us like Ross Atkins. And I don’t mean to be annoying, or to continuously beat a dead horse…… and I’m sorry to say it again for the 1 millionth time….. and you know very well I didn’t like it from day one….but trading Teoscar Hernandez was the dumbest thing this upper level regime has done. Imagine Hernandez in this lineup right now as is. Imagine the effect Hernandez would have had on Guerrero in 2023 and this year. Teoscar is a direct descendant from the Bautista/Encarnacion era. God dammit it pisses me off that they didn’t lock him up long-term.

I wasn't teasing or trolling you.

The pitching staff was awesome last year but the offense, or lack thereof, clearly was our Achilles heel and Atkins promised to address that. Instead, he did diddly-fucking-squat. So many things that could have been done if they were serious. If they had $700M for Ohtani why did they not spend at least some of it elsewhere on a significant bat? It was all a bluff.

They have shown us that they are not serious about doing what it takes to win and are playing us for fools. I'm dying to see thousands upon thousands of those new cup holders empty come July, August and September. The fan experience should be enhanced with a competitive team on the field instead of with $30 hot dog combos.

Jays back to losing ways. Lose 5-1, now 18-22!!
Manoah looked fantastic. I think he threw around 55 pitches through 6 innings. Good for him for working so hard to work his way back and good on the coaching staff for the patience they've shown.

Just imagine how pathetic they'll look next year once they're finished being sellers at trade deadline time. The Jays have the 6th worst minor league system in the majors so the cupboard is bare when it comes to having assets to trade while trying to stay relevant, let alone competitive, at the major league level.

And they had the gall to trash AA for the state of their farm system. They've had 8 years to remedy that and all they've done, at best, is spin their wheels.

I like the players as people and can't help but cheer for them come game time, but at the same time I'm all in for the organization to fall flat on their collective corporate faces. They are on pace for a 73-89 season.

People shit on Shanahan/Treliving but they look like Sam Pollock/Scotty Bowman compared the the Jays brass.

U doin ok Shacker? Why are you assuming the worse in me? 😁 I was not assuming anything remotely close to that. I was just saying generally speaking I wish they had Hernandez, and I know you were a little bit of a Swanson guy. We can speak hindsight this and hindsight that… But the reality is, that’s the only way to evaluate any trade when you really look at it. It’s always speaking in past tense for what could’ve been, and what might’ve been. Personally, I think they should’ve locked him up to a four-year after the 2022 season instead of trading him. But yada yada yada, what’s even worse is the fact that they didn’t make Teoscar a free agent signing target this past off-season after Ohtani didn’t work out. Almost like Ross Atkins has some stupid pride factor in his defence run prevention theory.

I didn't really think that you thought I was trolling, but I didn't want to assume, so I added the disclaimer.

Speaking in hindsight, I liked Teoscar but I supported letting him go based on how much offense we had at the time and I also thought that the culture of the team was too amigo oriented and not professional/serious enough. Seeing as how Atkins dismantled our offense and last year was painful to watch with all the runners LOB, I would've been all for Teo being on the team. As you said, once they lost out on Ohtani, Atkins completely abandoned adding an impact bat or 2.

As for Swanson, I didn't really know who was and I just accepted the rep that he had. Last year he deserved it, but this year he's been a one man wrecking crew.

6:35 PM start for Tuesday night's game, and 12:35 for Wednesday afternoon.

Baltimore is not in an earlier time zone, it's just not a city where it's safe to be out at night.

Baltimore has the second highest homicide rate for cities in the USA, (57.76 per 100,000 in 2022), and 17th highest in the world. The top seven spots are all in Mexico.

Low and inside is not where you pitch a left hand hitter...Romano's WHIP is 1.41 and that says it all right there.

As a point of comparison. Yankee closer Clay Holmes hasn't allowed a run this year in 18 appearances and has 12 saves.
Romano pitched two complete on Monday for the win.

For those ready to crucify Romano, let's not forget the offence could have done more than 2 runs on 5 hits.
