What the hell is going on in Brampton?!

Despite Kautilya's taking offence to the stereotype,, it's reality in Brampton. And I'm also ok with it. If a family and extended family want to live 10-15 ppl to a big house to pay off the mortgage so the next generation or family member can buy a house and build wealth and security, who are we to criticize them? A rich white couple commuting downtown while living in a 5,000 sf Oakville house on a 100' lot is a waste of space, utilities, city infrastructure, pollution etc. and worse for Ontario IMO.

sounds like a good idea. My dad's side of the family fled Soviet occupation and were farm labourers on the Canadian Praries for years.

One by one, as the family saved and pooled their earnings, they each moved to Toronto. Where they then moved in with extended family members and other refugees until they could save enough to move on their own etc.

My dad, being the youngest and strongest was the last to leave the fields. He became the most successful of all our extended family despite being the last to arrive in the Big City! It was because of his work ethic. I am ashamed that mine is not half of his. But I think adversity makes you stronger.

So that's why I have so much respect for the 'brown' people of all ethnicities that come to Canada and work hard. The scammers and freeloaders, of any colour can go fuck themselves.

And if they don't want to respect their new home country, then, like my refugee dad said, they are welcome to fuck right off back to where they came from! whatever their colour.

This was kinda always the way for some cultures. It is becoming necessity for most people regardless of race or culture. Many white Canadians are keeping their children home longer or having parents come back to live with them.

It's not always a nice extended family that is quiet and respects the bylaws and neighbourhood...which I agree is perfectly fine.
Most often they are illegal rooming houses.
It often becomes loud after hours, many many cars parked on the street, and on the lawn when there are too many for the driveway, and I've had many friends say (and show photos) of the people in these illegal rooming houses not only throwing trash outside their doors and windows onto the property which then blows all over the neighbourhood from the wind, but some even start defecating and urinating outside.
When it happens to the house next to you and negatively impacts your property value, trust me, your perspective will not be an accepting and loving citizen embracing new comers.

If the house beside you or in your neighbourhood is causing a disturbance for you, then get off Terb and research the laws regarding what you think are infractions.

Then learn to write concise (NON-EMOTIONAL, NON-RACIST effective complaints to the appropriate municipal by-law enforcement departments, Fire department, criminal law enforcement, parking enforcement, Electrical Safety Authority enforcement, Health Department, CRA if you know the rent is being paid in cash, to start with. And if you are in Brampton, I'm positive a letter directly to Mayor Patrick Brown and your Councillor will result in them getting on each of the departments as well as some ideas you never thought of.


Then go get your other neighbour's email and street addresses, and cc' them with all the complaints you send to each department. Follow up with them to suggest taht they use your letters as a template to make their own complaints.

And cc the mayor and Councillor on the complaints. And cc the departments on your emails to the Mayor and Councillor.

Trust me, doing the above will solve your problem.
