How do I post photo files in the WebP format?

HI everybody,

I recently tried to post some photo files in the photo thread. They were jpeg files and too large to post.

So I converted them to WebP files, which are much smaller, but then found that Terb doesn't support them.

In looking at my saved terb photo files I note that terb supported them back in 2022 and early 2023.

Am I doing it wrong? Or did terb decide not to support WebP for some reason?

Do not know if Terb support WebP. Me I use https://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-png

You can resize them too. A web image should not be larger then 600 px. Your JPG were probably much larger?

I don't think the TERB forum software can handle webp.
I suppose it might eventually be upgraded to newer formats, but I think boards in general haven't bothered.

I have photo files downloaded from terb in WebP format from back in 2022. No idea why they discontinued support. Maybe they changed hosting software at some point?

WebP files are usually smaller than jpg's, so I don't think storage space was an issue...

WebP are smaller and the general trend toward the future.
I don't remember them ever working on TERB - at least not in the "image" button from the posting menu.
