Public sector unions shouldn't hold the public hostage during their negotiations. Now that's crazy.Unions have a right to negotiate their contract, crazy concept right?
Time to get rid of them. The sooner the better. Don't you agree?

So make them an essential service instead of hoping to have people fired so you can lower folks to minimum wage. Hey, do you work for minimum wage, just a hunch.Public sector unions shouldn't hold the public hostage during their negotiations. Now that's crazy.

If someone is skilled in what they do and has invested in themselves and has good experience to offer, they wouldn't need a union to bargain for them. They could work anywhere and demand what the market demands. If they don't like their employer, they would leave and find a better one.So make them an essential service instead of hoping to have people fired so you can lower folks to minimum wage. DoFo has made everything in the health file worse.“yep”
And no worries “correction”. Just couldnt quickly think of a good addendum.
All this stuff, clearly still in play today (And ford clearly following some expert advice and looking for some efficiencies/privatizing some non core services/fluff if you will) including Casinos and LCBO outlets but weirdly not road tolls….. goes all the way back to 2003-2010 when the left in Queens park blew their loads buying union, gta support and spent us into a train wreck. as Drummond said with explicit reference to Harris
“Pressure builds”
..and the left in the gta stuck their heads in the sand to that….and Ontarios manufacturing sector getting thrown under the bus. By shit happens and by them. Nor do they grasp why house prices and rent went ballistic 2012-2014. And all they want is more more more more of the same.
they don’t even grasp they threw public servants under the bus with wage restraints, “head per capita counts” and robbing other ministries to pay Paul…smalls towns correction Municipalities and what they can/can’t do without tax bases…. without local economies…..they claim to champion ( socio economics ) robbing Peter to pay Paul, under the bus too. Even to the point they are being terrorized and deny deny, or too bad so sad…
warned and warned and warned.
Then came Covid which has made things worse
Now Boomers are here and these are just the surface. There’s surgeries and ERs, and GPs and so much more. Plus labour force concerns/issues like the dirty uneducated trades to build a million homes and dumb truckers to deliver the lumber and so much more.
Ontario breaks ground on 200-bed LTC Home in Pickering - Durham Post
The new home will provide 200 new beds and is expected to welcome its first residents in summer 2026, said a statement.durhampost.ca
2018. When Ford took over…. 1.3 million people without GPs
10% of Ontarians don’t have a family doctor, making ‘hallway medicine’ worse: Which party do you trust to fix it? | Globalnews.ca
Accessing primary care and a family doctor is a struggle for many Ontarians. So what are Kathleen Wynne, Andrea Horwath, or Doug Ford going to do about it? And will this issue impact the way you vote?globalnews.ca
And on and on and on. Then there’s gangs, crumbling infrastructure, and on and on…
Should a listened to experts when you shoulda
Thanks Frank and team left. You left Ford and everyone a Humpty Dumpty train wreck to try and piece together again.
Before (Covid) boomers
The numbers were stable at 5-7% until DoFo cut funding, then they raised to even more than doubled, to 19%, under DoFo.You seriously think based on your interpretation of the chart that DoFo doubled the number of international students in 3 years?
Ok this is fun...show me how you came to that conclusion based on the chart.
I would advise you to put your face protection on because you're about to do another face plant...
Show me...
You mean like baseball, hockey and basketball players? If someone is skilled in what they do and has invested in themselves and has good experience to offer, they wouldn't need a union to bargain for them. They could work anywhere and demand what the market demands. If they don't like their employer, they would leave and find a better one.
Only the ones that have no other options are the ones who need union protection and just want money for nothing knowing they are pretty much guaranteed a job. This is forced charity.
Everyone knows this.
No, only twats believe this nonsense you are spewing. Are you qualified to be a teacher, nurse, policeman, fireman? All these are public servants who ask for raises, should we fire them? No, you just want to go after the public workers behind a desk who's work YOU do not value. Yet, here you are, probably a Walmart greeter wishing he was in a union. If someone is skilled in what they do and has invested in themselves and has good experience to offer, they wouldn't need a union to bargain for them. They could work anywhere and demand what the market demands. If they don't like their employer, they would leave and find a better one.

And left wingers aren't really good a reality logic and common sense.Right wingers really aren't good at math, contracts of budgets.
We had years of 'common sense' in Ontario already. And left wingers aren't really good a reality logic and common sense.
Haha you can't read a chart to save your life. The numbers were stable at 5-7% until DoFo cut funding, then they raised to even more than doubled, to 19%, under DoFo.
We went over this before.
You posted a chart that proved you're wrong and still haven't been able to figure out why.
Athletes certainly invested in themselves to become the best they can be. Same goes for pretty much any entertainers who have become successful enough to warrant more money. You mean like baseball, hockey and basketball players?
If someone decided to become a civil servant then that's their choice. No one made them do it and no one owes them a living.
It's called holding the public hostage until their demands are met.
LOL... NO!!!!
If a public servants aren't happy the union begin strike action and reduce the services they provide until the government and union finally reach an agreement or they decide to seek arbitration.
Skoob... it's called negotiating. Let me help you out...
Skoob. It's called holding the public hostage until their demands are met.
In the private sector it would be different.
Maybe learn the difference?
At the end of 2023, Canada saw 63%growth over the previous five years and more than 200% growth over the last decade.Haha you can't read a chart to save your life.
DoFo reduced tuition costs in 2019/2020...you think the percentage on international students in 2019 was 5-7% and then suddenly went up to 19% in 3 years?
OMFG you need to take some courses on basic math.
Epic FF face plant! LoL!
So you admit that unions serve people with talent just as well as it serves other workers?Athletes certainly invested in themselves to become the best they can be. Same goes for pretty much any entertainers who have become successful enough to warrant more money.
However, no one forces you to pay to watch them.
Care to try a better analogy or should we just leave it as you have no idea and move on as usual?
And that power should only be given to corporations and monopolies? It's called holding the public hostage until their demands are met.
In the private sector it would be different.
Maybe learn the difference?
Says he who doesn’t know essential services are subject to arbitration, nor municipal acts. And that power should only be given to corporations and monopolies?
Not people who work for a living?
Why would you think that, old guy?Says he who doesn’t know essential services are subject to arbitration, nor municipal acts.
Because you are ignorant of many things, be that windfarms, who Hydro 1 is, who Drummond is, who can’t even read the first sentence never mind the rest. Be that what Police chiefs have to say about gangs or Wynne and UBIWhy would you think that, old guy?
