I think you have misinterpreted things. MAGA actually is ideologically driven. There was a lot of angst against the status quo coming off the Obama years and Trump simply took advantage of that and funneled it into MAGA. Trump has a lot of faults, but it was a brilliant maneuver on his part to exploit that angst, and no one saw it coming. It's why he has the Christian vote even though he's not exactly an avid Christian (they call him a baby Christian). You can call them "perceived grievances" if you want, but that's just because you're partisan. Those grievances were widespread enough to get Trump elected for four years. Christians have been demonized for decades, and their values have been mostly ignored by establishment Republicans, and opposed by Democrats. It's not surprising that they would turn to Trump when he's the first one in awhile to legitimately listen to them.
You're right in that Trump has become a cult leader. I think that legitimate angst has warped into a rabid cult, and Trump was the one who curated it. It's some scary shit. By this time next year, Israel will have carried out most of their mission towards eradicating Hamas from inside Gaza. A ceasefire may not be necessary or maybe moot as Hamas will have lost all military capabilities in Gaza .
