For all those on this thread who see defunding UNRWA as part of Israel's plans to commit genocide, I have to wonder - why would Israel want genocide? The most usual reason for genocide that history offers is that the group committing it wants the land and resources of the group they are killing. Does Israel want Gaza? It sure doesn't look like it. They could have easily kept it post 1967 if they had really wanted it. You don't build an expensive wall around something you want to annex. Do they want to govern the Gazans? I would say the answer to that is a resounding NO! In fact, it appears that none of the arab neighbours want to govern Gazans/Palestinians either (thus Jordan ceding the West Bank to the Palestinians).
The single reason I can see for engaging in a war with Hamas is to stop Hamas from continuing to kill Israelis. Sorry, but that just doesn't fit the genocide narrative. The proof of that will be that when Hamas finally is defeated/surrenders the war in Gaza will end.
You don't allow your children to use your stove because they don't know how to use it properly and a lot of harm can result from misuse. There are some posters on this board who should not be using the word genocide.
