Only if you support terrorists.

Can you see how Hamas is starting to lose the battle of world opinion as more and more of their evil is being exposed?
Hamas has always been losers in world opinion, but that doesn't mean the genocide of civilians is justified. Despite the influence of jewish lobbies on western governments, the overwhelming world opinion is the genocide should stop.

No, mandrill, that doesn't happen.
Its just Israeli spin, they've been trying to get rid of the UNRWA for years and years.

All this will do is kill more Palestinians and ensure that Israel goes to trial for genocide at the ICJ.
Almost every Western nation accepts that Hamas = UNWRA and that both have to be terminated.

They wouldn't be doing that if they weren't 100% satisfied on their own information sources that UNWRA is corrupt.

Canada's UNRWA funding pause was a long time coming, observers say (msn.com)

OTTAWA – While many observers praised Canada for following suit with the United States in cutting funding for a contentious UN agency allegedly involved in Hamas’s Oct. 7 terror attacks in Israel, many are wondering why it took so long.

Shimon Koffler Fogel, President and CEO of the Centre for Israeli and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), praised the move, saying they’ve been issuing warnings about the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for years.

“We’re concerned about the fungibility of support directed by Canada to the agency, and ultimately where money goes and what it supports,” he said.

“There’s been a very long track record of not just of internal corruption within UNRWA, but there were a number of UN investigations of the agency and impropriety on the part of their staff — not just its local-hired staff, but the international UN staff that manages the organization.”

Reports published Sunday in the New York Times outlined Israel’s indictment of UNRWA, including that agency employees were directly involved in the atrocities of Oct. 7, including kidnapping and murder.

Another article published Monday in the Wall Street Journal suggests as many as 10 per cent of UNRWA’s 12,000 Gaza employees have terrorist ties.

The Israeli dossier described 10 of the 12 implicated employees as full members of Hamas, while another was affiliated with the Islamic Jihad terror group.

Seven of the employees were also teachers at UNRWA schools — facilities long accused of incorporating antisemitic and anti-Israel messaging into their curriculum.

Two were accused of working for schools in non-teaching positions, while the remaining three were allegedly a social worker, a clerk and a storeroom manager, according to the New York Times.

One of the implicated employees, according to the Times, was a school councillor in Gaza who, assisted by his son, abducted an Israeli woman and brought her into Gaza as a hostage.

The social worker was allegedly responsible for co-ordinating vehicles and ammunition on Oct. 7.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry maintains that as many as 26,000 people have died since Israel began their campaign to eradicate Hamas after the Oct. 7 attacks, which saw terrorists inflict a one-day campaign of murder, kidnappings and rape against innocent Israeli civilians. The death toll in Gaza has not been independently verified.

As of Monday, 15 nations have cut their support for UNRWA after the U.S. announced their decision late last week.

Gerald Steinberg, president of Jerusalem-based think tank NGO Monitor, described the worldwide defunding of UNRWA as “unprecedented.”

“We’ve seen instances in which the United States and Republican administrations have frozen (funding) and also under Stephen Harper,” he told the National Post.

“But the fact now that you have a Democratic administration in Washington, Biden, that froze (funding), and now all the other countries have followed, particularly Canada. The evidence has been very clear — it’s something countries have ignored for many years, but now because of the direct connection with the brutality of Oct. 7, there’s a recognition that UNRWA cannot continue to function the way it has been up until now.”

This isn’t the first time United States and Canada have cut funding to UNRWA.

Canada stopped funding the agency in 2010 during the government of former prime minister Stephen Harper, while the Trump White House ended its contributions in 2018.

The Trudeau Liberals resumed UNRWA funding in 2016, while President Biden restored American funding in 2021.

Aurel Braun, a professor of international relations at the University of Toronto, said the accusations against UNRWA came as little surprise.

“We had so many warning signs about UNRWA,” he said.

“There were studies done by NGO Monitor and others that were rejected by Canadian diplomats, but the evidence is staring them in the face.”

The central question, Braun said, is why it took so long.

“Now, the evidence was so stark that there was clearly documentation that shows members of UNRWA were actually moonlighting as terrorists,” he said.

“It got the point where they just ignored the evidence, but it’s not as if the evidence wasn’t there, they didn’t want to see it. The evidence was hiding in plain sight.”

On Sunday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre praised the government’s move to cut funding , saying that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “should be ashamed” for spending tax dollars on what he described as a “terrorist organization.”

Speaking to reporters Monday before question period, International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen dismissed claims that Canada had been actively funding terror.

“What we are doing are taking these allegations very seriously,” Hussen said.

“These are disturbing allegations, we have very serious concerns about those allegations, and I expressed Canada’s concern over the allegations to the head of UNRWA.”

While funding for UNRWA remains on hold, Hussen said Canada will continue funding Palestinian aid through other UN agencies, including the World Health Organization and the World Food Program.

As for Canada’s role in the future of Israel, Fogel said this country doesn’t have a very strong voice on the issue, and has found itself somewhat marginalized beside other players.

“ I think it would be great if Canada were to step up and seize opportunities to play a meaningful role,” he said.

“But you can’t do that independently — it requires Canada to be more fully in sync with the approaches, the thinking and the considerations of our like-mined allies, and that’s been where we haven’t been as intentional as we could be, and perhaps as we should be.”

No, mandrill. The same thing happened a few years back with Israel declaring that 9 human rights organizations were terrorists, including Defence for Children International. It took a few months but the Israel decisions were reversed and only Israel ended up looking bad.

This one will be faster as cutting off food and aid to 2.2 starving people while Israel is going on trial for genocide won't look good in the morning.

Bullshit.... UNRWA is unnecessary waste of $$$. UNICEF/WHO/WFP could handle that...give them the same treatment that Ukraine is getting from UN....assigning a specific org just for them enables for extremists to exploit it...UNRWA was a big factor for Oct 7....time to say bye bye...
You think feeding Palestinians is an unneccessary waste of money?
Why don't you just speed it up by calling for nuking Gaza?
