Juventus is setting up for the CL next season. They have a very good young club, I doubt Vlahovic will with them next year. The current Cambiasso (who created the penalty try) is from Genoa not Argentina. Federico Gatti will make Juve supporters forget about Giorgio Chiellini.

Michele Di Gregorio is one of the best young goalies in Italy.

I didn't know Diego Maradona was Croatian. His father is Amerindian, his mother is Istrian which was given to Yugoslavia as WWII war reparations.

After reading a mini-bio on Maradona, he didn't die fro the usual suspects. Both his parents passed in the 2010's and he felt lost without them.

A dark day at the Maradona.

Nello Messi is Marchegiani by descent. He was born in Rosario, a town that 65% Italian, his wife Antonella is also from Rosario.

...worst mistake Internazionale ever made.

Napoli took a beating, I don't know whats up, Oshemen was very weak or they didn't serve him properly.

Milan finally with a win against Frosinone. But I think Inter may win the scudetto again, I know its early but....

The Inter Milan juggernaut rolls on. On current form I doubt ManCity would want a rematch.

That was a good game, Juve seems to be back and Monza is a very good team.

United is out of the Champions after losing to Bayern. They tried..

Inter couldn't score against Sociedad, but they couldn't score either.

We'll see what happens Wednesday with Milan against NewCastle, Milan is hot and cold.

It is a must win for PSG to ensure qualification for the knockout stages. If they draw and Newcastle wins then, Newcastle will go through based on the results between the two sides. Newcastle have taken 4 points from PSG. So an interesting three way battle among these two teams including Milan. Will have to constantly scroll between channels to see how these two matches are panning out. Milan have an outside chance if they and Dortmund win in their respective matchups.

Manchester City are likely to use all their fringe and academy players as they have strolled to win their Group. Haaland and Doku are both injured. Leipzig have also already qualified in 2nd place. The exciting fixture is Atletico Madrid v Lazio as they battle to top their group.

Yes I think if Milan wins against NewCastle and PSG loses they will make it thru. They're going to be good games.

I watched the Dortmund v PSG game. It was an exciting one with the near misses and brilliant saves even from the defenders. Then Dortmund scored, and apparently there were loud cheers in the Newcastle Stadium as they were already 1-0 ahead of Milan. But the game was almost turned on its head after PSG levelled the scores and then Milan also did the same. Finally, a sigh of relief from the travelling PSG supporters when the news broke that Milan were now ahead. The final 5 minutes of stoppage time was all about ball possession by PSG so that they did not concede another goal. Both Dortmund and PSG have qualified for the playoffs. Milan will drop to the Europa League cup while Newcastle have to concentrate on their domestic tournaments. In a way they were unlucky to have so many players out due to injuries and finishing 4th is going to be a real uphill task for them in the Premier Division.

Lots of carpentry work in the match.

It would have been sweet to see PSG demoted to the Europa League. In the end they got through on goal differential over Milan 8-5. Of the four Italian clubs in the CL, Milan is the only club that doesn't get any post Christmas cheddar.

Well, it was due to PSG's first leg 3-0 win. So since the Milan and PSG were tied on 8 points and they both had a level shared 3 point between their two home and away fixtures, then it is based on the 4-2 goal difference in PSG's favour that meant a 2nd place finish for them. Even if Milan won their last game against Newcastle at say 8-0, they would not have leapfrogged PSG.

The other rules that have changed as to how many teams qualify for next Seasons UEFA Champions League. The English Premier Division has an opportunity along with Spain and Italy
to have 5 teams in next Season's competition. However, even with both Newcastle and Man United being knocked out, the EPL still retains the top coefficient, based on the Europa and Conference league qualifications. The Complicated Coefficient Calculation Updated:

I think Milan goes to the Europa cup or are they out completely?

Yes, Milan go into the playoffs of the Europa Cup. All the 3rd place teams in the individual groups are in the Europa Cup. They will take on one of the Europa group's 2nd place teams in the playoffs in order to make the last 16 of the Europa League. Only the winners of their Groups will go directly into the last 16.

Newcastle are totally out of it as they finished at the bottom of their group.

Napoli collapsed to Frosinone 0-4 Shocking.

Frosinone was great, Napoli couldn't do much. I think its over for Napoli being in the top like last year.
