What the Faily
Faily Fail article says pretty much backs me up. And I quote....
The chief suspect in the multiple stabbing that left a five-year-old girl fighting for her life was arrested earlier this year for possession of a knife, the Irish Daily Mail has learned. The man, originally from Algeria, has been living in Ireland for the past two decades. He took Irish citizenship more than a decade ago. The man, who is in his late 40s, has come to Garda attention several times in the past year. The latest incident involved possession of a knife, as well as criminal damage to a car in May.
He was taken to court on the charges but did not receive a conviction. The Mail understands he was not convicted due to a mental health report given to the court.
Sources have told this newspaper that the man was living in Dublin City Council hostel accommodation before he went on the rampage off Parnell Square on Thursday afternoon. The suspect remains in hospital after he was tackled to the ground and subdued by passers-by. Officers are guarding the man. It is believed he will be arrested and formally questioned over the attack which shocked the nation, when he is passed fit by medics.
Gardaí have entered his accommodation and seized phones and other items they believe may have evidential value. One source said: ‘This man came to Ireland in around 2003. In recent times, he’s come to the attention of the gardaí. This was over having a knife on him and him causing damage to a car.
‘It is not accurate to say that this man was constantly causing trouble but he was known to officers in the area since those incidents in May. There is proper security in the hospital where he is being kept also as there is a real fear that he could be attacked by groups of people if they found out where he is,’ they added.
Gardaí said they are keeping an ‘open mind’ about the motive behind the stabbing but have not yet ruled out that this was a terror-related incident.
Another source added: ‘Gardaí are at the very start of the investigation here so they are looking into his background as well as all the incidents he was involved in before this attack happened.
‘There’s a real possibility that this was an incident related to a mental health episode, due to his history, but that’s not like they’re trying to get him off the hook.
‘Every proper procedure is being done and they are going to have to wait until he is well enough physically before they interview him.
‘Gardaí will check if he had any links to Islamic extremism but at this moment in time it’s less of a possibility and it’s more likely this was a mental health incident.’
The Mail has also established that more than 50 gardaí were assaulted during the chaotic scenes on the streets of the capital on Thursday night. Multiple videos shared on social media showed officers being attacked from behind, with one being punched in the back of the head, and having fireworks fired at them by rioters. In another video, a lone garda can be seen fending off a gang of young men assaulting him while on O’Connell Bridge.
So it does appear that your "Islamic Extremist" slant is bullshit, right?
And it's perfectly possible that he would simply be dumped in a loony bin in Algeria, the same way he should - and probably will - be dumped in a loony bin in Ireland. You assume that Arabs are lesser people than yourself, but that assumption is flawed and questionable.
In any event, none of this excuses the White Supremacist mob race riots in Dublin.
