People forget that not all Israelis are zionists just as not all North American Jews are zionists.
More and more are turning away from zionism after this latest round.

Oddly enough, after watching that Jimmy Dore video above, the next one that came up was from this female scholar and said exactly what you just said.

If Israel dropped more bombs than US did in Afghanistan, and only 10000+ Palestinians died, it means they were focusing on terrorist targets rather than civilians, considering the density of population there...75% of them support Hamas' massacre anyway, which makes them terrorist sympathizers.

Secular Jews are fed up with the violence and the ultra nationalists controlling the Knesset, they are emigrating from Israel. One of the more popular destinations is Rome. The attraction is to be part of the oldest Jewish diaspora on earth, the city gets a noticeable brain gain as well. The Great Synagogue of Rome went through restoration work about a decade ago. The Villa Miani is a popular wedding venue for all Romans not just Roman Jews.

I would say she's been a little bit brainwashed from the other side.
There are several factual inaccuracies in what she said. For example Israel doesn't control or steal Palestine water. The water issues faced in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are due to inept and/or corrupt water authorities. Its also highly doubtful that 10,000 Palestinian civilians have been killed. These numbers are always inflated as a propaganda tool.
At the end of the day if you believe in a Jewish majority state in the Holy Land you are considered a Zionist. Thus the vast majority of Israeli Jews are Zionists. They don't want to live in a country where Arabs Muslims/Christians are the majority. I agree with them so I guess I'm a Zionist as well.

Things like the Hamas attack and the anti-semitism that uses the conflict as an excuse are a big part of the reason why many Jews are zionists. They may not like Israel's government but they appreciate a place existing that they can flee to if needed

Good example. The anti-Jewish violence that has existed in the region since 1920 is just like the KKK violence against blacks, anti-immigrant violence targeting people explicitly because they were a different ethnicity.
