I know several civilians like this. They were hotter when they were younger. Still run into them at weddings and funerals and kids birthday parties.

Now they're past 40, have lost their looks and figure, and are eternally single. Sadly, one committed suicide.

She could have had any man when she was younger. Chose the wrong men, ended up alone. It's a cliche.
sadly, this is going to happen more and more in western culture with the rise of feminism

Where do you work? because the place I work at it's the other way around. Fathers have their kids in their basement. Sons + 45 in the basement of their fathers. Some 29+ got the job because of father works there and went to private school now has blue collar job. Actually most men at my work place went to private school and end up with blue collar jobs. Can't be fate.

In the end women like the honeymoon phase ( do not call it hoe phase) as long as the men pay for it. If you want a balanced women with FWB make them pay their share and they will only stick around for 8 months. They start fights at 3 or 8 months, because they want to be dumped, to scared to move on on their own.

Use gf to learn massage.

Yeah SP is the way to go variety.

Wasn't clear.

My full time job is in corporate banking, pulling about $80K and have a side hustle that generates about $35K so about $115K in total.

I get the guy has to pay the first few times initially, but if the girl is always staring at the bill and makes no attempt to at least get it, I start to lose interest.

I dated a chick who absolutely insisted on paying her way, almost fanatical about. Also keen on not having me waste my money. Sadly there were other issues so I had to end it, but I am thinking of trying again to resolve those issues because I am how do you say... ah yes desperate.

In the company of lovely smart ladies for whom you're punching way above your weight, no mystery or effort or landmines to navigate to drop the daks and get on the job, and no expectations to disappoint upon leaving each other's company...hmm...

Please Explain.
I assume he means return on investment.
I believe that modern relationships are often more like a competition.
Hard to get on the same page. Or even the same book for that matter.

Yes I now he means ROI.
I agree with your comments.
I find paying for it is way less mental and cheaper than a relationship.
Relationship, once you found a partner, first 3 weeks all nice and few complaints if she can handle herself. Between 3-8 weeks start the little crazy stuff, then after 8 weeks a roller coaster. The 8th month arrives it .... you can pretty much guess.

I say this because I saw this in a 12 step programs how women would seek pity when all she is doing is "lying validation".
But I agree with @dirtyharry555 if he meant people in relationship.

Sure when you arrive to see girl it could be BS, but that is only for moment, then you walk.

I've been married twice and divorced twice. Finally living my best life. I'm free to do what I want without answering to anybody else, with none of the complications and ups & downs of a romantic relationship.

In both marriages the passion died, mutually, well before the marriages ended.

Also not having to deal with a significant other's families, for better or for worse.

I have 2 grown children from my second marriage, so that part of my life has been satisfied.

I get all the female sexuality and even sometimes mental "click" from the ladies I meet in the sex industry. The cost is pre-determined, far less than the cost of dating in the style I would like if I was interested in pursuing a romantic relationship, and there are no legal entanglements.

If the passion, real or imagined, dies with one of my very few sex industry regulars I just move on, and nobody gets hurt, or feels guilty. None of that "I'm sorry. Its me, not you" bullshit.

Besides, I love the variety the sex industry provides. "So many women, so little time..."

So to sum up I have zero interest in dating civilians, even though I have received some interest from women who are still reasonably attractive, despite being a lot older than the mpa's and escorts I see.

Thank goodness terb exists to facilitate my chosen lifestyle! (not to mention the interesting Lounge topics, lively political debates, and of course, the Photo Threads.)

Would you say you regret getting married? Once or both?

Yes, except if I hadn't gotten married I wouldn't have my children.

I actually told my son that, unless he wants children of his own, to think thrice before getting married, given the odds of it ending in divorce, or just being unhappy but not wanting to go through the hassle and cost of a divorce. I suggested that the chance of ending up in a long term truly happy marriage with children is only between 10 and 20 percent...

I obviously don't have stats. I estimate by my grandkids generation, marriage will be nearly eradicated.

An old lady told me something interesting about her grandma. When grandma passed away 1960's , they found out grandpa/grandma weren't married and yet they raised three kids.
So you don't have to be married to have kids but it is good idea for the children to have a male role model around.

I just realized why husbands die earlier.

1. Men have to manage work -stress.
2. Men have to manage wife - stress.
3. Men have to manage kids - stress.
4.Men have to manage life - stress.
if
5. Men have to manage side chick or gf - stress, not relief.
6. Men have to manage vacation - some relief.

Yeah stay single.

By the time women really know they want a nice guy, they are old and used.. and too late. LOL. Vicious cycle. Met a few gorgeous SPs that turned out like that.. now they have to work as escorts to survive as single mums as they went for the bad thug guy.

As a 30 year old man who's black himself I dealt with BS myself. I was never successful in dating as girls for some reason were never sexually attracted to me(they only saw me as a friend) so I jumped into this hobby in my late 20s to gain some sexual experience. I still try to date civi girls but man oh man are they entitled as fuck these days. And I blame dating apps because they endless choices of men while the average man has to work extra hard just to get at least one match or date.
Me too. However, in my case, they're right.
